Have y'all tried Miss Jessie's buttercream? If so, what do you think is better: Miss Jessie's or Carol's Daughter? And why? I've been using MJ, but the scent is too strong for me and I don't like the scent that much. The product is pretty good though, but it's hella expensive... Thinking about changing up.

[...] A few weeks ago, I was honored to be noted and quoted by none other than Kristen from Beauty Addict. After my rave reviews about Carol’s Daughter Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner, she yearned to try it. Apparently, the last time she wrote about Carol’s Daughter, some i’gnant reader decided to tell her that Carol’s Daughter products weren’t made for “people like her.” Exsqueeze me? I know Lisa Price would strongly disagree with that! [...]

I'm thinking to launch my own blog. I'd like to quit my daytime job, can you live with your blog only ?

[...] Bellas, I love what Lisa Price has created. More power to her, for creating a quality line of products for natural beauties. I adore the Hair Milk - Lisa was right when she advised me to spring for the $16 bottle as versus the $10 bottle. I use Hair Milk almost daily, and if I’m not using that, I’m using Lisa’s Hair Elixir which I also love. [...]

I got samples of the Rosemary-mint shampoo and black vanilla and fell in LOVE. But they were all out and have been for SEVERAL weeks for both products. So I dried the Khoret Amen shampoo w/ sea moss and the Tui Smoothie. Love them. Bought the hair honey, love it. Bought the kizzi, love it. The Tui hair oil, love it (so sparingly) and got a sample of the loc butter (doing two strand with it right now), love it. Their line must be made for me!

And the greasy film that some claim to get is just locked in moisture for my hair ( I have very dry hair), so it perfect for me.

I'm a mix of 3c with mostly 4a - I know my hair type!! It looks exactly like our Chief bella! lol

[...] In a recent issue of Esquire, Brad Pitt gave a shout-out to Carol’s Daughter as being good for “black-person hair.” What’s the big deal? When my girl Fresh over at Crunk & Disorderly posted about it, the ensuing discussion provoked 276 comments and counting! Most people seem to be nonplussed, but a few took offense to his description of “black-person hair.” Not me. Being a black person, that’s what I have, right? Ethnic won’t work, because that is an excessively broad term. Kinky opens up a whole different can of worms. Naturally curly might have been a way to go, but guess what? Brad is a dude. Dudes don’t usually mince words about stuff like that. I don’t really care about the specificity of ethnic labeling. I’m just proud that Braddy knows what products she’s using, and recognizes that Zahara needs lots of moisture for her adorable little fro. I hope he’s using the hair milk on her. That’s good stuff. [...]

I think Carols daughter s products are overpriced and a little overrated .I like the Khoret Amen Smoothie but is very hard to rinse off and leave a greasy film on my hair .The tui Hair oil is great as ...body oil.Didnt do nothing for my hair .

Hey Afrobella I'm a SF Bay Area reader and I couldn't get into the Carol's Daughter event at Sephora last week so I'm going to investigate on my lunch break next week when things at work are a bit calmer..
