wow, these are really pretty. i’m still a little timid about branching out and trying bolder, brighter colors because my skin is really dark. i’m afraid it might look bad, do you have any advice?

Too Faced Starry Eyed liner is one of the most beautiful makeup items out there. Amount of/colours in the glitter is perfect. It is my most coveted cosmetic. I tried it out at Sephora’s, but it was too expensive and ever since then..I’ve been waiting for my bday to get it..

Just a thin line of this thing on the upper lid would look good on anyone, ESPECIALLY on black girls. {Try the bright turquoise-blue one..you will fall in LOVE like me)

Use foundation or concealer on the lid then apply the eyeshadow.

I have an eye shadow question. How do you keep the color from creasing? I’m new to the extensive makeup game.
I always have color in the folds — and no where else after 2 hrs or so…

I love the ‘showy’duo from L’orÃ©al HIP collection. It has that ideal metallic teal shadow that I’ve been searching for for YEARS (lol).

Alright, Keena – just cause you asked. I went out with a full-on jeweled eyelid for last night’s A Tribe Called Quest concert. (Which was incredible, just so you know!) I used a base of mauve shadow, then covered my lids with hot pink and purple glitter. The photo is posted on my About Me page, so check it out!

Thanks for the advice, Keena! The thing is, I don’t want Afrobella to be one of those me-me-me kind of sites where there are pictures of me all over it. I’ll consider doing a close-up photo of some eye makeup for you, though. =)

Like I said, I ain’t a model! I just love putting on makeup and looking pretty. But I just might have to add a glitter-eyed photo for y’all.

Wow, you’re making me feel brave enough to try these. Since I’m not very make-up savvy, I usually stick to neutral colors, but you’ve got me ready to step out on the water. Maybe I’ll try those Sephora Jumbo Pencils..Thanks
