I have all of Conya’s albums & they are all stellar. Her style is soulful, thoughtful & true all of which mainstream media is not ready for. I live in the Detroit area (Ypsilanti) & you never hear her music on the radio & how unfortunate especially since she is from Detroit.

I suggest that all pick up her music & support a real artist, wig or not this is one fine SISTA!!!

Sweet Trini, I was never in Miss Ruddell’s good books. Sad to say, very few teachers from BAHS made a real impact on my life. I loved Stroud, Thomas (contigo!), Jenkins, Mark, Ramsoondar-Gittens, the literature-teaching Mrs. Patrick… um, that might be it. But funny enough, when I go home to Trinidad now, the ones who were the meanest are the happiest to see me. It’s all “Patrice!! OMG, how are you!” And I’m like, bitch please. Ha!

Hot 105 used to blow her up big time back in the day (99′-00′) however, you know how the music bizness goes- here today, gone tomorrow. Nonetheless, she is truly talented and a musician true to her art form (not many singers can say that nowadays). You should hear her rendition of “You are my Starship”- SHE IS FIERCE!!!

By the way, can we get a spotlight on Rachelle Ferrell?- Another songstress virtuoso!!!

Yay for Conya! She’s a Clevelander. My cousin has done her makeup before and says she’s a very nice lady. And she still teaches here in Cleveland. She’s truly slept on, I’d love to see her get her shine on.

Miss Doss hair is amazing, her low cut is even hotter.
She is a beautiful woman and her music is just what I need to hear in this hectic world.
I too, have to shout out ONE of my FAVORITE TEACHERS:
MRS. RICHARDSON-FORD.
