Erykah is the truth. She’s a real woman going through real shit and she sings about it, how much more real can you get? She was so bad and coy on the song “Rimshot”, it makes me giggle every time I hear it. I’ve never had the opportunity to see her live but I’m looking forward to it.

badu i have liked from the start!! and her hairstyles always spark conversation. now that thing about a hip hop foundation, i wonder why one hasn’t be started already. it would be great. i look forward to vh1′s hip hop honors every year now.

Definitely an inspired choice for Afrobella of the Week. And thank you, thank you, thank you for mentioning K-os. Too many people have slept on this brillant artist and I hope that this intelligent, Canadian hip hop “artiste” takes America by storm.

Yep, I loved Erika Baduh when she came out in 97 especially when she cameout with the live album. Oh, that music still sounds good today. Can’t knock her originality and the twist she put on the game. She will be perfoming here in Vegas on Dec 30th. I think I’ma check her out!!

I was *just* adding Mama’s Gun to my ipod yesterday. I love Erykah, and had the chance to see her live in New York back when “Tyrone” was a big hit. Also performing that night? Joe and Chico DeBarge…yum.

“Mama’s Gun” is a classic — not heard or understood by enough people. “Green Eyes” alone is worth the price of admission. It NEVER gets old.
Not sure she’ll ever top it — in my opinion.

I would love to hear something new from her (however, I’m not about to beg her via myspace like her recent blog requests).
Just put the song out, girl!
She’s one of those artists I’d rather hear sing — than read an interview about. Don’t talk, just sing.

Great choice, for “Afrobella of the week”. Her music makes an emotional connection with the listener.
