I tried this product also and was extremely disappointed as well. I think the best solution for when my hair feels dirty is to mix a little baking soda with conditioner. It's a "no poo" shampoo.

BTW, I love your site!

If you like cheap but good go for Organics, by Africas Best Hair Mayonnaise. I've been using it for years - this stuff has stayed with me as I went from relaxed to all natural and has yet to let me down! And you can get a 15 oz. jar for $3.99! The Organics, by Africas Best line is pretty good especially considering the low cost of the products - I use the hair mayonnaise and the stimulating therapy hair shampoo on a regular basis (I highly recommend the shampoo too - it's the only shampoo that I've come across that has genuinely left my hair soft and not feeling weighed down after shampooing. I even comb through my hair with the shampoo while in it.) I also use their shea butter hair conditioner (more like a hair dress - it has a good texture to it) and their carrot/tea tree oil therapy as a hot oil treatment. You could probably find this stuff at your local beauty supply store - or online. Look here: http://www.nextag.com/africa-s-best-hair-products/search-html

I'm a fan of all the vo5 conditioners. The nexxus humectress also worked for my natural hair. The suave version of humectress also worked well on my hair.

I have naturally curly hair and have gone through many, many conditioners. The best conditioners I have come by are Nexxus Humectress and Aveda's Damage Remedy Conditioner. Both of these products are accessible worldwide.

When I was in England Lindsay & I would go into Harlsden, London to get Motions & West Indian foods, snacks and drinks..so UK Bellas can get Motions & all other "black" hair supplies.

I've found that Garnier Fruictis mixed with olive oil gives my hair soft and shiny. the olive oil makes it a little thin but its really covers the hair and is easy to distibute.

I use the Aussie range at the moment and the conditionner's good for keeping in the moisture. Not too sure if we have Suave in the UK but it sounds awesome but we do have Motions here. I have to admit that after I finish this bottle of Aussie I'm very tempted to move away from chemicals & try some of the Anita Grant range ( natural, hand made for black hair)... I'll let you knkow how it goes = )
