I WISH I had BETJ! They always have fantastic Caribbean programs. But although VH1 Soul and MTV Jams are part of my cable package, BETJ is not. Strange, huh?

Regular BET is atrocious, but BETJ is a great channel. I have Direct TV, so I know it may not be available to non-satellite folks. The focus is supposed to be Jazz music, but they show mostly neo-soul and classic videos, some Jazz, old concerts from people like Marvin Gaye, Frankie Beverly & Maze, and James Brown, old episodes of Video Soul and Planet Groove (remember Rachael?). They did a whole hour on MeChelle Ndegeocello’s latest jazz album “March of the Infidels”. They also have a show called “My Two Cents” which is a show that focuses on different issues with really cool panelists like Keith Boykin and poet Stacey Ann Chin. It’s a pretty cool channel and a good alternative to the regular BET. I think networks like BET and TV One should focus on having more well-made original programming and not just 227 reruns.

This is on & off topic 1) I forgot all about MS Cita, damn she was ghetto as hell & used to piss me off while making me laugh because the concept was soooo ridiculous . BET needs to be shut down for 2 weeks & revamped with new programming that only includes 3 hrs of videos. I’m mos def Black byt not entertained by what they have been offering over the last 6 years.

Why they air it so late? I guess they trying to grab the “unCut” crowd. LOL!
