Thank you for the advice, bellas! I finally set foot in a Body Shop @ C's suggestion. Those perfume oils are great. Affordable, and the fragrance is crazy long-lasting. Dragged my man along, bless his patient heart. I mean, shoot, he's going to be smelling often, might as well get some input! Thanks Trinichica & Sumutra77 (I'm going to check out D&G's Light Blue @ Target, turns out I'm a "clean"/citrus gal, too!)

Heyhey, if you have a Marshall's or a TJMaxx in your area, you must hit it to get fragrances on the cheap...Daffy's and Loheman's are great too. Out here in NY, I go to Sephora to sample the scent and head to 28th and Broadway (the perfume district) and buy it out there wholesale; it is such a huge savings. Some of my favorites (and there are soooooo many; I am ashamed to say how many bottles of perfume I have)are Covet, L by Gwen Stefani, Hanae Mori, Marc Jacobs and Kors. I could go on for days about perfume but anyhoo.....great post Bella.

My boss purchased all of the ladies at my job a Victoria's Secret Dream Angel perfume gift set with all of the Dream Angel fragrances. They are all different, but my favorite is Dream Angels Divine. It was oddly enough the last one I picked out of the five in the case. I say oddly b/c it's pink and I adore pink. But once I spritzed it on for the 1st time? I was deeply in love. I am much more of a B&BW body splash person, and had never really found a perfume that fit my body chemistry before until this one.

All of the ladies have offered a lot of interesting suggestions...I might have to check them out! Thanks Bella! Thanks ladies!

My signature sent is the classic Clinique Happy. but i dont really buy mall perfumes anymore because they are too strong for my sensitive skin. If i have to buy something, I go to (im kinda embrassed to say.... Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works) because my skin doesn't break out that much from them.

Heyhey, there are quite a few name brand perfumes that are moved to drugstores or places like Target. Lucky has some nice scents at Target. I think Dolce and Gabbana's Light Blue has been moved too. You can also go to department stores and ask for samples of new fragrances, they are usually thrilled to give you samples, because it's a potential sale. Also, I don't know if all Sephoras do this, but they have little vials and can give you individual samples of a fragrance you like. I got one for one of the CLEAN brand fragrances and it lasted weeks because a little goes a long way.
I tried Sarah Jessica's first fragrance and didn't like it on me but loved it on my sis-in-law, so I do think body chemistry plays a huge role. I don't do well with scents that have jasmine or gardenia, but my body seems to love citrus and clean scents... Go figure.

People always laugh when I tell them what it is, but honestly....Tommy Hilfiger's "True Star" [the one that Beyonce did/does the ads for] smells amazing on me, and doesn't hurt my wallet. It might just be the body chemistry, but it definitely lasts all day and is a great scent for spring/summer. I wear it pretty much year round though.

I tried to like Britney Spears perfumes, but they just smell weird to me. I like JLo's Live and Live Luxe which both have a tropical scent and Glow which is a clean scent. I'm having a hard time liking Sean John's Unforgivable Woman. It's supposed to sexy and seductive scent, but it sometimes just smells powdery to me. Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline does the trick for me better bacause it's a nice light floral scent that's noticeable while not being overpowering. I want to try Mariah's perfume, and I definitely plan on getting Erykah Badu's when it becomes available. I have several perfumes, but my favorites are Carol's Daughter Mango Melange, Fresh Lemon Sugar, Comptoir sud Pacifique eau de voyage Vanille Peach, Musk by Jean Guy Paris, and Dior Bronze Sweet Sun Treatment. Bronze Sweet Sun Treatment is great for the summer because it's more like a long lasting alcohol free body spray that moisturizes your skin leaving behind a very nice orange scent. Kharma by LUSH is also a nice perfume if you like spicy orange and patchouli. I would recommend Demter Fragrance Library for Bellas on a budget with a price range of $5-$20 you can pick from a wide range of scents. I know you can find some of the scents at Sephora, but you have a better selection by ordering through their website.
