Amen on that letter to Oprah. I saw that episode and thought the exact same thing. Makeover shows really need to cut out the killing of curly hair. I wonder what the response will be.

Okay, I was about to get indignant at the idea of people balking @ children getting manis/pedis, because my teenaged daughter has been getting them since she was about 6 or 7. She's always been so boyish and that has been the only girly thing she's ever been into,( I mean she's never even liked dolls, can you believe it? LOL) so I've been glad to indulge that(she also has the prettiest feet I've ever seen, ha!).

Howvever, after reading that article, I'm sitting here bugging completely out. My eyes even welled up, and I can't determine whether the feeling coursing through me is sadness, anger, bewilderment or a combination of it all. *sigh*

So I was able to read the article after you fixed it, bella. Bikini waxes for 8-year-olds????? Do they even HAVE a bikini line? That's some crazy mess right there.

I understand that many young American girls are participating in beauty & talent shows and so this spa aspect has probably derived from that. Think of how Jon Bennet Ramsey looked as an example.

Hi Bella,

I remember that on Kimora's reality show she had her assistant take her little kids to a Kiddie Spa. Regarding the curls, I think that people, including myself, should embrace their curls. I admit I tend to straghten my hair until summer just because of the weather change and humidity etc. It is interesting how curly wants straight and vice versa. Have fun camping!!

I can not say enough good things about Aphogee Treatment. Trust me, it is a miracle worker! Just don't use it constantly...I normally use mine after a relaxer, not right after but after a relaxer, as in same day. As Edessedesigns said, its smells horrible, but the payoff is great, healthy, strong hair!!!!!
