So you don’t like any of the candidates…ideally the people we feel should lead this country are never the people who actually do. But the thing is, we do have 3 candidates who have decided to take on the job and out of all of them you, as a responsible citizen, need to try to remove the stench of disappointment and disgust out of the way by hold your nose looking at the issues and casting a ballot. I love Barack, NOW, but I was orginally a John Edwards girl. I have not jumped on a bandwagon and still have my eyes trained on Obama’s weaknesses, but I cannot deny that the man has the potential to be a great leader. Whether you agree or not, whichever you preference (and I use that word loosely for some) please don’t abstain from making a CONSCIOUS vote in November!

I’m not keen on Edwards as VP, because the Democrats have already been there and done that. I’m sure there could be a more fitting role for him in Obama’s administration. Personally, my favorite candidates for VP are: Sen. Chuck Hagel, Sen. Jim Webb, Former Senator Sam Nunn and Ohio Governor Ted Strickland. He needs an experienced white male and all four of those men would add a lot to the ticket.

It’s interesting you mentioned that people seem to think that change will come from another person. Obama always talks about how change happens from the bottom up–it starts at the grassroots level. His campaigng has been a perfect indication of that. Look at the money he has raised from so many donors! Unbelievable! He also says that “we are the ones we’ve been waiting for” meaning that we shouldn’t be waiting for some magical person to change how goverment works, but if we start paying attention and actively participating then change can occur.
