Just like Tbyrd, I let my hair air dry. I read someplace that cotton towels were not good for people with dry hair because they remove moisture.

I might start using an old t-shirt like Kweenie. Thanks for the tip Kweenie!

I abandoned towel drying after I realized that it was bad for my hair. I wring my hair dry then style it or let it air dry while it’s in a bun or plaits. It’s worked out much better.

Honestly, I think an old t-shirt will do the job. It dries the hair while leaving the curls defined without frizziness. I read this somewhere else a few weeks ago and it works for me….A tip for those of us on a tight budget

I’ve been wearing a weave since …forever. Now, my hair is really long and I’m ready to wear my real nappy hair out and about.

I live in NYC and I’ve heard alot about Miiko and curve salon. I would like to try the “silkener” @ Miiko’s shop in DC but I’m concerned that a chemical – no matter how sensitive the chemical claims to be – may damage my hair.

My question: Has anyone tried Miiko’s silkener? Did you encounter any damage? Thanks

a great tip I got from naturally curly about the curlease towel is that it’s basically a flour sack towel (which is very similar to linen in feel) that you can buy at Walmart or Target in a 5pack for $5 dollars. I bought it and I love it. My microfiber towel had been pulling at my kinks but this definitely does the trick. If I need to dry my hair even faster, I first wrap my hair in the flour sack towel then the microfiber towel, and when I wake up, my hair is dry!! Check it out ladies, and at $1 a piece, u cant go wrong!!

mm i bought a micro fibre towel from poundland. but i prefer any old or new towel i have and that does the job just fine.

Hey all,

I am a guy that knows nothing about hair but is steadily trying to do something with my curl/frizz hair. DO these towels work for men? Is there a great one to recommend because there are alot on amazon and the product reviews vary. Can anyone help me out?

lala….really? ooh okay then. even if it’s not 100% birdseye, that fabric may work well in lieu of a cotton towel. I may have to try that out! thanks a bunch

In my search for international shipping I ran across malikonline.com. They do ship to Germany. Mind you I have not placed on order so I cannot offer a personal reference but I’d guess that you could snoop around and find some references online. Hope that helps.
