We will always remember that someone thought that Americans were so bad that they destroyed innocent lives to “prove” their strength. We will always remember that we have the ability and the heart to rally around our neighbor. I only hope that this spirit of reflection will continue and turn into the spirit of help onto those who are experiencing the hurricanes this year.

As a New Yorker I haved such mixed emotion about 9/11. We are in a war because of it and I’m not sure if the Iraq War properly honors the memory of those who lost their lives so insensibly.
