I saw this board while looking for Going Ohm's products. I have tried both KCCC and Going Ohm and i have to say that they may sound similar by description, but are nothing alike in performance. With the KCCC, my hair stayed wet/damp for quite a while and it gave me curl def, but didn't let my curls hang to the length that i would have wanted. It is also very sticky. The Sweet hair Pudding has a different consistency and i thought it smelled similar to strawberry ice cream. It made my twists hang and my twist out was beautiful and curly. I tried their gel a long time before the Pudding and i loved it and it didn't flake at all. They are two completely different products each with different results. Personally i prefer Going Ohm.

Sandra sounds way too involved. I purchased their hair pudding last month and I realy like its function and the smell. Of course in light of this info...I checked my label to see if this "plagirism" was true and the puddings label says nothing even similar. suggesting Boycotting is just plain stupid.

Oooh... Sandra's comment is a bit rough, and in my case, counterproductive. Reading all of that makes me really want to try the Sweet Hair Pudding and do a product comparison to KCCC and see what the fuss is about. I don't think any of this is serious enough to boycott a product. Going Ohm was out there harming people with their products, then maybe - but using the same description as another company to describe their product (a description, which frankly I find to be generic in the world of curly hair products)? I don't think KCCC could claim a copyright in the description and even if they could, 1- that's a legal issue to be resolved between the companies, and 2 - Sandra just infringed on the copyright by reproducing (if done so without permission.) My point: it shouldn't really be that deep - and now I'm gonna check out goingohm.com!

Hey Sandra,
the tone of your comment is very personal, and makes assumptions about the creator of Ohm that I can't stand by and just watch. I have tried several of the products, and they are both sanitary and of great quality. If you contacted the owner of KCCC, I gotta ask - did you also contact the creator of Going Ohm to let her know hey, I noticed this language is similar and I have a problem with that? I find it curious that you wouldn't say that you contacted her, and instead would post such a negative comment on a blog that strives to be positive.

I will let the owner of Going Ohm know about your complaints and your comment. I won't delete your comment because that is not my policy, but I just wanted to state publicly, I don't appreciate or encourage these comments to be a sounding board for personal attacks against others.

Gina, I agree with you. It seems as if goingohm.com don't have brains of their own at ALL! My sister purchased the Sweet Hair Pudding along with the oil. The Sweet Hair Pudding has a really displeasing smell, and is fairly mediocre. The oil was okay, I liked it more than my sister did, but it most certainly is nothing special and is pretty easy to whip up at home..so it's NOT worth the price. What I did find interesting about goingohm.com was that the owner is clearly guilty of plaigarism. The sweet hair pudding description is EXACTLY the same as KCCC. The fool owner of goingohm.com did not even make an attempt to change the verbiage..slightly. Does goingohm.com not have a brain? Whay can't the owner formulate her own recipes and descriptions without using curly pudding's and KCCC? Goingohm.com is absolutely pathetic and I refuse to give money to a "company" (Lord knows she's probably throwing crap in a blender in her kitchen...I hope she's at least sanitary)that uses other sista businesses as a way to build up their own. It's copyright, and extremely wrong. Needless to say, neither my sister nor I will be purchasing goingohm.com products, and I advise others to boycott the business as well. If the owner of goingohm sees this...please, run your product ingredients through a spell check and use your own brain to describe YOUR products. Also, please note that I have already emailed the owner of KCCC about this.

From goingohm.com... Sweet Hair Pudding description: "Utilizing the humectant properties of Honey, Sweet Hair Pudding will give weight to your hair, define your curls, remove frizz, provide long lasting hold and shine without ever being greasy, crunchy or drying to your hair."

From Kinky curly website...KCCC description: "Utilizing the humectant properties of the Agave Nectar, CURLING CUSTARD TM will give weight to your hair, define your curls, remove frizz, provide long lasting hold and shine without ever being greasy, crunchy or drying to your hair.

Why does their product packaging & logo image look very similar to Carol's Daughter.. it don't like it. Furthermore, they don't even have an about us page so we don't even know whom I'm buying from. I really can't stand copycats.I think I'm going to pull her collar on this one.
