I am very single this Valentine’s Day, but even if I wasn’t the day itself has never been a big deal to me. I got flowers last year, which was a first for me, but my ex-boyfriend was always very good about doing nice things for me throught the year.

If I was to suggest a low-cost Valentine’s Day, it would be to cook a special meal together at home complete with some inexpensive but nice wine or bubbly, lots of dancing to old school slow jams, topped off by a sensual shower or bubble bath for two.

And this weekend I’m going to cook us a new meal with recipes I’ve been wanting to try for a while. When it comes down to it love is priceless, so why spend like crazy to celebrate the beauty that love is?
