I am a size 12 with big calves, which makes finding boots that fit over my calves nearly impossible. I've tried the plus-sized sites (womanwithin.com has some great styles), but after ordering different styles I've had to send everything back because they were too big. I looked at JCrew's extended calf boots but those are too expensive and too small. That is until I stopped into Marshall's on Sunday and ran across some boots that fit finally. I've had such a hard time, and they are Michael Kors. God was definitely smiling on me yesterday.

Thanks for this post Bella.
Every single winter I suffer from boot-phobia. My large calves make finding comfy, warm boots so difficult that I often don't even bother. I'll have to swing by my local Bloomies to see if the Pajar brand works.

I am a boot fanatic and a fellow flat footer. I've had wonderful stylish and comfy boots from Naturalizer and my favorite John Fluevog.

Here are links to some pics of my 2 current favorite boots; I am on the hunt for grey buckle boots now. October to April, all I wear out is boots---love 'em.

Fluevog Heidi's in brown:

Fluevog Toda---sadly discontinued but can still be found. I have these in red which is much redder and less brown than this pic:

Hello Ladies,

I like the knot tie boots and MBT. They look comfortable. I think a women can be sexy, cute and comfortable without wearing 3 or 4 inch heels. I am looking at Kinna boots from Boutique 9. They are available online at ninewest.com. They are on sale with an extra 30% off at checkout.

Doc Martens are great. I remember with fondness a pair I had in my late teens/early twenties.

About the MBT boots, I'm not too comfortable with the use of the word "Masai" in naming the technology.

Apparently they are named after an ethnic group in Tanzania and Kenya who supposedly have walked barefoot for thousands of years.

In fact like people all over the region - and indeed the world - they wear all sorts of shoes. They are however best known for innovating flat leather sandals.
