I was standing in a lobby here in Seoul, where I now live again, and was glad to not be in the States where I’m sure everyone at the water cooler would be talking about this “press conference”. I saw it for two seconds and you would’ve thought that President Obama was going to come out and say his peace in this whole sordid mess. Since when did cheating on your wife become World News? There’s nothing new under the sun people, nothing. People are fighting in wars, cities practically being wiped off the map causing homelessness and even more poverty and this guy gets face time, for being stupid? Been over this minstrel show for years.

I was looking for my wifes long cousin.. My mother inlaws first cousing.. Leana Horne and her picture was followed by your site..was wondering if you could reunite the family..
Let me know..My mother inlaw is now 79 and her sister Lynn is 80 but they always speak of her and how she became so big and they lost track..

I wonder why no one mentioned the waterboarding story that was linked? Post-traumatic stress disorders are common amongst veterans and so untreated. The suicide rate for soldiers who have done some duty in Iraq or Afghanistan has gone up. You’re right. Why is no one talking about that?

Thanks so much for putting into words what I have been thinking since this ‘important’ conference. I too am ‘over’ all this continued hype about celebrities- re: Tiger Woods? Who cares? What about Haiti, Afghanistan, Iraq, feel good news stories? This is the drivel that is populating the minds of the next generation masquerading as a news item. Tiger needs to play golf and be quiet, the news media needs to focus on the real issues, this is a non-story and I am glad I did not waste anytime watching the ‘press conference’. Hopefully this is the last we hear of Mr. Woods (I use the ‘Mr.’ lightly, outside of a PGA tournament).

Wow, that’s really scary that our vets are doing things like this. Clearly, they need some psychological help before they are brought back to civilian society. Can you imagine the fear of water that little girl has now??

And yes, I’m so over celebrity news. There are actual newsworthy stories out there.

It’s called a RED HERRING. When there are unpopular things going on in the world, the USA media tends to hype the celebrity drivel. It happened during the OJ trial. Remember Rwanda? Funny how that genocide coincided with the whole OJ fiasco. The hope is that we will all be lulled to sleep by gossip so that the criminals running this country can get on as business as usual. I hardly ever watch tv, let alone the “news” any more. You’re better off watching BBC.

@Athena: I must agree we can pamper and celebrate ourselves. I decided that instead of being down and looking sad that I would have a Jennifer Day which means I do things that make me feel special and treat myself. Once a month I celebrate Me! We can’t depend on others to celebrate us we have to do it ourselves!
