Well, I don't agree that it dries clear. It stays thick and white. But it does do a nice job of thickening and conditioning. However, I hadn't used it in awhile and when I pulled the wand out the brush broke off and was stuck in the container. I have NEVER had that happen with any kind of eyelash product and $28 is the most I have ever paid. I'll be writing to Dior about this.

I am a HUGE fan of Dior's Extase Mascara! I have never had better looking lashes. I saw an ad for the primer in Cosmo and have been meaning to grab it. I had a feeling it had to be good stuff. I don't think $28 is bad, after all, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

There is a CVS "outlet" store near me where anything unsold at CVS comes to die. We get great deals daily, so I tried the cheap version by L'Oreal and I am happy to say that it works. I wear glasses a lot and since I started using L'Oreal's Lash Boosting Serum, I can't wear my glasses when I have mascara on because my long(er) lashes brushes against them.

I've tried Latisse and the Dior. Both work very well; however, for me, they did a similar thing differently. Like you, I appreciate the notion of conditioning my lashes and when I used the Dior with any mascara (yup!)? My lashes were outrageously thick and curled! The Latisse is waaay too expensive; the Dior is a bargain, comparatively speaking. It's definitely a way to go for Bellas who desire the plump and curl of life without emptying their wallets!

But, you know what? I think I'm more of a Latisse Bella. The Latisse worked almost IMMEDIATELY for me; I didn't have to wait long at ALL to see its effect on my lashes! And I loved that its effects were noticed by friends and family, as my longer, more noticeable lashes nearly touched my brow bone when I mascara-ed 'em up! It's effects lasted even when I took off my makeup, which made my eyes look extra pretty when bare-faced.

I had no real side effects ultimately (intially I used too much and practically in my eyes and it caused slight itchy irritation; I learned to, oh, read the instructions before applying). But, it worked so well for me, I'm seriously considering whether to take the plunge (either $125 or $150 per microscopic container) and make this one of my long-term beauty investments.

A tip for Bellas who are tempted to try Latisse? Squeeze one droplet into the cap, dip the brushes (supplied) into the cap, and then brush the product onto your lash line. Don't try to drop the Latisse onto the brush (as instructed); less coordinated Bellas will miss and waste precious product that way.

Also, others have suggested that you invest in the tiniest, skinniest brush and toss the ones provided. I didn't do this; I used the brushes provided (though I didn't use a new one each time).

Finally: if you stop using Latisse? Your lashes WILL return to their pre-Latisse look, FYI. That's not the worst thing in the world. But, perhaps if that's going to happen, there's no good reason to spend so much money on Latisse, yes?

Thanks for this lovely review! And Happy Anniversary again!!!
