I was completely fascinated by it and couldn’t wait until the next camera shot to show her. Her hair trumped Tevin and I was a Tevin fan! I knew that my own would not be like that, but that hair?!?! LOVED! I also loved Ladybug Mecca’s hair from Digable Planets and the ladies of For Real. Unfortunately, I did not let the perm go until 2009. But it was the best decision of my life!

I went natural b/c I love big hair & loved the look of untamed curls. I thought it was sexy. Not every hair move a womab makes needs to be explained as her contribution to the movement/cause/revolution or thinking anything other women do with thier hair is horrible & a reflection of wanting to be of another ethnicity. Its a personal choice/ journey & it shoud be FUN!
