Have you tried Hint water? Unlike some of the Crystal Light and other "flavored" waters it doesn't add any kind of artificial sweetner. So what you have is this delicious infused water. I found it at Whole Foods. Tried the lime flavor and it didn't leave a bitter after finish or the yucky chemical flavor that you get with artificial sweetener. It was exactly a hint of lime.

I drink coffee (half cup a day, home brewed) a glass of wine with dinner, and WATER. The only way to start the water habit, is to do it, plain and simple. Drinking stuff like Crystal Light won't help you adjust to the taste of water. Crystal light isn't healthy at all and you may as well drink soda, and I believe that a lot of these drinks are traps to get people addicted to sugar and other chemicals. I won't go into my theories about the subtle connection between Big Agriculture, the processed food companies and the corporate health care and pharmaceutical machines.

You are better off squeezing a little citrus (oranges, lemons, tangerines, limes, grapefruit) into fresh water and if you crave a bit of sweetness, use honey or agave sweetener. And Bella, lay off the artificial sweeteners, that's a trap too! That stuff is made in a chemical lab from compounds that were never meant to be consumed by humans!

Bella, I feel your pain, but there is no way to get around it. Our bodies are 70% water. We need water. These CL recipes are fantastic! Unfortunately, CL has so many drawbacks it's not a healthy substitute for aqua, mami. :(

I'm working to get there. I do still have a love affair with instant products and processed foods, and I do still use items like Splenda and Equal. I'm gonna try it sans CL this week. I'm on a personal hydration challenge this summer!
