Don’t feel bad, he did the same during the 25 LA concerts last year. He needs to know his fans REALLY love him and we do, so you stay and you cheer, chant, stamp your feet until he returns. That was my 3rd Prince concert (one each decade) and he delivered. More than delivered. I was high off the event for days.

Sounds like you still had a superb time despite the will he/ won’t he encore business. I’ve seen twice now- once in 1993 and again in 2008. Love him, love him, LOVE HIM. You just get that feeling that he absolutely loves what he does and he wants you to be involved as well.

Hey how was Tues night? My husband and I flew from MD met our cousins from TN for the show on Monday. I had never seen Prince in concert before but cousins had seen him twice. They were more than excited about the show before we got there. When it was over they were as disappointed in the show I was. The only good thing is we were glad we didn’t fork over $ for the House of Blues.

I’ve seen Prince twice and the first time he blew my mind. The concert went on for four hours straight and The Time and Sheila E were there. But Monday night at the United Center dissapointed me a little. Hopefully tonight’s concert will be better because I’ll be there.

Co-workers who went to the Monday show voted it WORST CONCERT they had ever been to. They were angry, to say the least. One hour late; they paid to see Prince perform, not his backup singers; uncertainty at the end of the show (waiting 45 mins for an encore…really?)

Not a way to treat hardworking people who have paid hard earned $ to see you.

Great blow-by-blow, felt like I was there with you. I saw Prince in concert about 10 years ago, and after my wedding day and births of my 2 girls, that was prob the most memorable experience of my life. There’s nothing like it. Glad you had a good time despite the encore shenanigans.

I knew better…I knew better to leave…but I still left! Dayum Dayum Dayum. When the house lights came on and his symbol (stage) was still lit…I knew in my heart he was coming back out. I’ve been to one of his shows before and while we didn’t have to wait an hour for an encore we did wait more than usual. But other than that the show gave me EVERYTHING! I will forever love Prince!!

yep that was Your First time 4 sure (how it possible ? in USA ? first Prince concert ?… he performs since (over) 30 years !) , and why U didnt ask how Purple Show look a like before U go .. he doe’s such things and not to make fans angry ( u can ask why .. maybe Andy Allo could help ) . I am fortunate enough to be going again tonight. Last night was awesome, and while I missed the 2nd encore too, the show was still worth the delays and disappointments. This is Prince, afterall; there will never be another like him. I may still try to go to HOB on Wednesday, because after all of the drama last night I am almost assured he will be there and give a great performace. Missed seeing you an posing for the camera with our puprle lips.
