Thanks to the producers of The Michael Baisden Show for reaching out and for being so amazingly accommodating with me! My interview was literally recorded in the backseat of a towncar in New York – I just arrived for the Bali Style Summit. I was en route from La Guardia Airport, almost at the hotel in the middle of Times Square. The very cool driver pulled over so I could be focused and ready for Michael Baisden’s questions! How did I do, bellas?

Bellas, it’s been an incredible six month experience. I’ve learned so much about myself in 2010 in general, and hosting Afrobella Radio has been a really important part of the journey. And Thursday December 16th – tomorrow morning, if you’re reading this now – the first part of that journey comes to an end.

My last show will be all about New Year’s resolutions, fresh new beginnings, and focusing on your health and fitness. My guests will be Dr. Karol Watson, director of the Women’s Cardiovascular Center at UCLA and Erika Kendall of Black Girls Guide to Weight Loss who will speak from her own remarkable weight loss experiences. Bellas, I must be honest with you – balancing life with travel with blogging with Afrobella Radio has been challenging. The show went on hiatus for a while as I figured out a schedule that worked for me. And not only is she the creator of one of the internet’s most popular urban entertainment blogs, but she is also an extraordinary photographer and fashionista – and is about to be an author!
