Sweet Deals!

by afrobella

In my black lipstick wearing, Indian bindi experimenting Gwennabe teenage days, I was practically obsessed with anything glittery. Especially makeup. I even went so far as to buy a little pot of glitter from the stationary store and experiment with making my own fabuleaux glitter eyeshadow. Epic fail.

And all the time I was lusting over the Hard Candy cosmetics I saw advertised in my Seventeen magazine. When I finally migrated in the last year of teenagerhood, I made it my business to buy some Hard Candy glitter eye pencils.

My inner teenager squealed with dismay at the online rumors of Hard Candy’s untimely demise that swirled around today. As it turns out — according to Miss-Roboto, Hard Candy is still here to stay. Yay!

The company currently has massive overstock, and is selling their products online only — so they’re offering ridiculous 75% off deals on their makeup! This is the perfect opportunity to splurge on yourself with something youthful and bright, or to score gifts for the younger bellas in your life. Glitter eye pencils for $3.63 cannot be beat. And for $5.50, the Secret Stash makeup kit is an incredible steal.

And I know some of you bellas mark your calendars for this! It’s the Miss Jessie’s Buy one Get One Free sale!

Starting this Friday — November 21 through December 31, you can get a BOGO deal on everything Miss Jessie’s has to offer. I have my eye on the new Creme de la Curl shampoo and Creme de la Creme conditioner. The cleansing creme is sulfate free, and the conditioner’s loaded with castor oil. I know Titi’s been working on this for a while now, so I’m sure it’s good stuff.

Do you know of any sweet deals happening in the hair and makeup world? Let me know!

I’m soooo over the Miss Jessies rave! It just doesn’t work that well in my hair. But I passed along my Butter Creme and Meringue to my sis, it just might work better for her.

Hey Bella, strange coincidence! I just swatched Sephora’s Electro liners ($8 not quite as good as $3.63) and I liked what I saw. Nothing wrong with a little sparkle in your eyeliner!

On another great note, the sisters of Miss Jessie are back together, and have billboards all over New York subways. There shop opened back up, too.

Grazie mille for the tips and inside info. I’ll be checking them out. I was searching for a durable, makeup bag that cleans easily, with compartments, any ideas?

Miss jessies rapid recovery conditionier is great but me and my son’s hair is to thick vs the cost of it. If you have 4b/c hair Miss Jessies curly cremes do not work.

No specials I know of, but the hard candy sure reminds me of my urban decay days. Sigh.

Oh, Bella. Why did you even talk about Hard Candy. I’m so itching to get the secret stash. I’ll sleep on it. I wanted to ask if you know any good eye concealers. I feel like I need to start wearing some. I don’t know where to look at. You might have covered this before and I may have missed the post. I appreciate any advice. Thank so much.

Thank you bella! I have my first appt at the Good Hair Salon in December. It’s the Big Chop and a nice style! Then I’ll have a much better idea of what products will work best with my texture.

I liked the Baby Buttercreme, but with the season change it’s too heavy on my hair. It was great for summer though! Right now I’m using Hair Butter and the Black Vanilla leave in conditioner from Carol’s Daughter. Even Hair Milk is a bit heavy, so i use it sparingly.

Wow!! Let me head on over to Ms. Jessie’s right now. I need to try the Baby Buttercreme. The original smells too much like Menthol to me. I really am looking for a good conditioner to cowash my hair everyday. Has anyone tried this new conditioner from Ms. Jessies?

I love Miss Jessies but I’m not loving the shipping charges for us bellas in the UK that would like to buy the products. $60 S&H???? Nuh-uh! Meanwhile does anyone know of a reseller in the UK, preferably London?
