The Best Reviewed Natural Hair Products on Amazon

by afrobella

Before the retail stores sunk their teeth into the natural hair marketplace, online was the place to get your hair product needs. Back then, the most popular products were for sale via their own websites. Now, they’re all curated and displayed in Amazon’s Textures and Hues store. I love what they’ve done – the section features products, tutorials and more! You can shop according to your hair type – relaxed, wavy, curly and coily.

I love seeing the most popular featured products in the category. Are the most popular products the best reviewed? Not always. So here are the best reviewed natural hair products currently (this post doesn’t include hair extensions or wigs but does include tools that can be used for all textures).

Here are some of the current top natural hair products and tools, sorted by average customer review:

Tree Naturals Rice Flower & Shea Leave in Conditioner

Description: “Light enough to be used daily as a leave-in, moisturizer or a styler to define and hydrate curls with no product build up. Some Curlies even detangle with it! Can be used on wet or dry hair.”

Customer Review: “Very very satisfied with this product. Thanks I finally found something that works on my 4c hair. No messy build up. My hair is very moisturized. Will definitely try other products as well..”

Mixed Chicks Curl Defining & Frizz Eliminating Leave-In Conditioner

Description: “Finally, a curl-defining system for “us.” Europe, Africa, Asia, America…we not only come from everywhere, but we are going everywhere. The world is becoming more and more diverse, and we celebrate that.

Whether you’re Black, White, Asian, Latin, Mediterranean, or any glorious combination of the above, you’ll love the way these non-sticky, lightweight curly hair products leave your hair inviting to touch as they define and lock moisture into every curl. Be a proud part of our multiracial movement…”MIXED CHICKS” your curls! And yes, it not only works on wavy, tightly curled or straight hair but it also works on weaves.”

Customer Review: “This is my stuff! Being a hair product junkie this is definitely a product that I always have in my collection. I have 3b/3c hair and after I wash I get out while my hair is still wet and slather this on – depending on how you prep your hair for sleep a few spritzes of water and some fluffing will bring your beautiful, bouncy curls back to life – good for twist outs!!!”

Wet Brush Multi-Pack Squirt Detangler Hair Brushes

Customer Review: “I feel I’m writing the same review as others, but I LOVE this brush. At a recent baby shower, I lamented at the struggles I have brushing my daughter’s thick, long, curly hair, and a lady said the wet brush made all the difference combing her daughter’s hair. While skeptical, I bought this set of 3 mini wet brushes and…..I was shocked. The brush just slipped through my daughter’s hair like magic. No conditioner. No detangler. Most importantly, NO TEARS! I really couldn’t believe it. She no longer cringes when I say it is time to brush out her hair. So, I can’t explain it, but it works.”

Luxe Therapy Scalp Soother

Description: “Luxe Therapy Scalp Soother is a patented tool designed to massage the scalp and safely soothe itching associated with hair weave and hair extension wear.”

Customer Review: “Loved it! The comb stops the itch to your scalp immediately!”

Tropic Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil

Description: Black castor oil has an age old reputation as an all purpose healing oil. It’s commonly used for hair and scalp problems, skin conditions, aches and pain, laxative, breast massage, fibroid, first aid, for cuts and wounds, burns and much more.

Customer Review: “I was searching for this for black castor oil for a while now and so far I’m very pleased, I like how it’s thick and not water down. I will be purchasing this again soon and the price was Amazing. Great deal great product.”

Hi! Out of all those products, one I currently use is the Jamaican black castor oil. I must admit it’s fantastic, I love it. I used it to seal moisture in my hair when doing the LOC (LIQUID , OIL, CREAM) method.

Those detangler brushes are the best ones I’ve found so far. My daughter’s hair gets extremely tangly and brushing it has always been a nightmare, but those brushes have made it a lot easier for both me and her.
