The PATTERN Steamer is Here! Introducing a New Essential Hair Tool

by afrobella

This post is sponsored by PATTERN Beauty but the opinions are all my own.

When I first started Afrobella in 2006, I couldn’t have imagined the growth the natural hair industry would have. I couldn’t have imagined the wonderful changes to come. If someone told me in 2006 that celebrities I liked and looked up to would have their own natural hair product lines, I would have laughed. Because back then it was so difficult to even find any products addressing the need of kinky, coily hair, who would think that famous faces would be affiliated with the few product lines that existed for us? Much less, made their own?

Flash forward to 2024 and the whole world has changed. The natural hair movement brought so much development in terms of influencers, education, and products that speak to our needs. Now there are some incredible brands at major retailers, some of which were founded by celebrities who know their own natural hair struggles all too well. PATTERN Beauty by Tracee Ellis Ross has been a gamechanger in the space.

I absolutely love the products I’ve had the opportunity to try, and I love that PATTERN focuses on hair health, great ingredients, beneficial formulas and embracing your texture. As Tracee Ellis Ross said, “I wanted to create a line of products that gave our hair the support it needed to be its true self.” She did exactly that.  You can click here to watch Tracee’s story yourself, if you aren’t familiar.

PATTERN makes incredible hair products for cleansing, conditioning treatments and styling, and they’ve entered the hair tool and physical product market with a bang.

I was honored to be interviewed and featured as they launch their beautiful new hair steamer – click here to read my interview!

The PATTERN Steamer is a beautiful device that’s unique in the market. It’s hand-held, aesthetically pleasing, and extremely effective for longer or shorter hair. It makes the whole hair steaming experience more travel-friendly & home-friendly. I like that you’ve got two different attachments. There’s the prong to lift and separate your hair to steam from root to tip for longer hair; you can speak to a deeper, or you can speak to a more surface level of steam here. At my current length and hair needs, the diffuser attachment is going to be the one for me in terms of being able to kind of holistically hold it from a further distance, get that steam, and be able to then exfoliate my scalp and use my shampoo and use my light styling products as my hair continues to grow back.
