So I mentioned in my previous post that my parents still slow dance together. Well, I found pictorial evidence!
When I was younger, I thought it was kind of lame. But now that I can appreciate romance, I think it’s fantastic. My parents have been through a great deal together over the course of 38 years, five kids, and four grandchildren. They have made it through the storms and here they are, still dancing. That in itself is remarkable.
I agree with my dad wholeheartedly when he commented, “I would add to your list of tips, however, a good, loving and caring husband.”
That can be hard to find and Lord knows many women try and try. But when you find the person who’s perfect for you, your soul mate – that can only make life more beautiful.
Thanks to all of you for your kind comments about my mom! Reading them made her day. And yes, I will hug her when I see her – for Christmas in Trinidad. I can’t wait!

So beautiful! Bella I felt the same way you did when I was younger but now that I’m “grown” I treasure those memories..That is a beautiful picture..I wholeheartedly agree with your Dad. I’ll be married for 3 years on the 22nd to a wonderful, loving man. I pray that God blesses us with as many years as your lovely parents. Your mother is gorgeous!!! She looks better than women 20-30 years younger than her..I’m serious!! Its that clean living and fresh island air! At least that what I think. (smile) My mother is from Bermuda so that’s what my aunts always said about why island folks look so fantastic. You are blessed indeed! Give them a hug from me at Christmas, too!
One more thought..have you thought about enlarging that picture and framing it? It is inspirational!!

that was just beautiful…i know i have something like that to look forward to. marriage in itself is hard work…each partner contributing..not just financially…but emotionally and spiritually. Raising children together…different views…all kinds of stuff…but the biggest is COMPROMISING!!! When you know you are right and your partner is not…but you bend a little…or a lot!! Marriage is for the strong….and only the strong survive!!!
