We Need Some Real Hair in Here

by afrobella

LOL!

This made me cackle out loud. No shade to my be-weaved amigas, I hope everyone finds a laugh in this.

The original song, Too Many Man (We Need Some More Girls In Here was a hit for Boy Better Know, JME and Skepta, a crew out of London producing grime, guttercore, garage music – whatever my UK homies call it. Over there, you’ve got so many musical genres and sub genres, I feel clueless. But I dig it, I do!

Anyways, enter comedian Jason Lewis, a hilarious brother from the UK who made fun of the video by giving it a pro-natural hair spin.

It’s silly parody, but made me giggle on a busy day. Maybe it’ll do the same for you!

I *thought* this song was supporting natural hair the first time I started watching it, but instead it seemed to contrast black girls’ attempt at social acceptance against the non-black girls with the *real* hair, insinuating that they’re the real deal. The guy even pushed a perm kit in one of the girls’ faces. Shaking his head like that’s what she needs. Had to watch it twice to see it wasn’t really saying that black women are beautiful too and need not be ashamed of themselves, it just seemed to *expose* their cover-up and laugh at it. Anyone else get that?

its kinda funny. i’m not gonna take it too seriously. As I say Black women should just do what pleases them. I’m sure that was Mica Paris in the middle of that video. If she’s willing to take the mick then so am i.

I am so with you Kandeezie, I also want to add, this is the same kindof guy Who would never date a natural woman (hair) but instead with someone they say having a good hair( meaning not a natural black woman hair)

This hypocrisy from some black men makes me laugh, always giving credit to the ones with curly, straight hair etc…. but put down some black women with weave, wig , perm….
