XCVI Plus Size Giveaway!

by afrobella

Effortless and eclectic, bohemian and confident. That’s how clothing brand XCVI describes their aesthetic, and it explains why I love them. That’s my style too!

I have been a fan of the brand for a while, so when I had the opportunity to try out their Silver Queen Tunic Top, I was BEYOND excited. I own several XCVI bottoms, but this was my first top.

Here I am wearing it at the first BGLH meetup I attended here in Chicago!

And here I am wearing it next to Top Chef Marcus Samuelsson!

The good people of XCVI have been generous enough to offer a special giveaway for Afrobella readers! Click to watch the video!

So OK, long story short – I filmed that video right before my parents came to town, and my life got absolutely turned upside down after that. SO – here are the rules to enter the XCVI giveaway!

Please either follow XCVI on Twitter, or add them on Facebook.

You must be a 1X, 2X, or 3X. There is one shirt per size. Please include your size in the comment below.

And tell me how you’d rock this top, and where you’d like to wear it! I’ll leave comments open over the weekend and close it Monday morning.

Good luck! Can’t wait to get fashion inspiration from your comments!!

Have a fabulous weekend, bellas!

Love tunics and this one in particular! I’d rock it with a pair of dark wash skinny jeans, metallic heels or flats, silver bangles and a huge afro!I could see wearing it on a girls night out or maybe an outdoor music festival. Size 1X

    Hey Bella!
I’m a 1X girl. I love that top. I only wear tops that accentuate my neckline so I am liking the shirt already. And I love the glitzy embellishments on the shirt. I never wear necklaces (I just don’t. I hate things around my neck) but I miss having my neckline accesorized. That top is a twofer. I’m typically a jeans and t-shirt girl and I have a great pair of book cut silvery gray jeans (and some deep dark black jeans, too) to wear with the top. And I have a pair of very high heel sandals with hematite (my fave geo-mineral) straps and matching hematite earrings and bracelets.
Is that too matchy? My aspiring model fashista sister tells me I’m too matchy with the accessories sometimes, but I call it coordinating.

Anyway. That’s how I would rock that too cute top.

Thanks for letting me know about this new brand.

I think I’d do a 2X to be safe; I’m a busty kinda girl. I love the embellishments! I’d rock the top with some black, shiny jeans and a pair of silver rhinestone heels. To the club of course.

Size 1x. I would wear it on a casual date with my husband, maybe going to hear some music or something. I would wear it (depending on how long it is) with this dark demin skirt I have and silver gladiator sandals or of course black or purple tights with black/silver sandals.

Love this top. I’d rock it from day to night on casual Fridays under a suit jacket with dark denim cuffed jeans and my Sam Edelman black sandals with silver/black beading. Medium rhinestone hoops and a silver cuff to add to the glam factor going on around the neckline, my pink wristlet and I’m ready for dinner with my Boo. Size 2X please.

I wear alot of sterling silver so, I would rock this tunic with black leggings and silver sandals size 3x love this site .

2X…I’d wear this with a denim pencil skirt or black straight-leg pants or velvet skirt for holiday party. I’m from Baltimore so I treat metallics & embellishments (sequins, beads, fringe, feathers) like the new neutral…can be worn with anything.

this tunic is gorgeous! I would wear with white skinny pants and a great pair of metallic flats or gladiator sandals. I’m a size 1X

I would wear this when going to dinner/ hanging out with friends or just hanging by myself. I love tunics; so forgiving! I’d wear this with a pair of skinny jeans and back leather sandals. I’d do my nails and toes with OPI Rumples Wigglin’ (my signature color of the moment). Of course I’d have to have something sparkly in my fro as well! I’m a pretty simple -and comfortable- dresser but I always like to throw a little funkiness in the mix. 2X

    funny comment. I’m busty too.

Very cute top. I would go dark jeans (boot-cut) with a pair of hemp wedge sandals. The embellishment on the top is so awesome it needs a complimentary big bangle for the wrist to match. Locs in a loose side bun leaving option for a panama or straw fedora. I’d rock it on a Mommy’s night out to the coffee shop or to the cafe to take in some nice reggae vibes. 3x

P.S. Thanks for the awesome blog! keeps me in the know.

I’m really wishing I had this right now, because my 7 year anniversary is this coming week! I would wear it on a night out with my husband with some black leggings and fierce black heels so the silver embellishments on the top could really stand out! 2X

I would love to wear this top during a summer cookout with family and on a nice evening date with my husband. I would wear it with a nice pair of dark wash jeans, a comfortable flat, and simple jewelry because the outfit will be all about the shirt. Silver Queen in a 3x and my beautiful natural coils…so effortless beautiful!

  22. Tracie

I would wear my 3x Silver Queen with a pair of cobalt caged high heel sandals and an ivory a-line skirt to my long overdue first date since my break up. My hair would be pulled back in a low “messy” side bun that emphasized my curls.

    Patrice,

I’m a mother of a 16 month old daughter and hubby and I are way overdue a date night. So, we’d get a friend to babysit on Saturday night and we’d journey over to Adams Morgan in DC to catch a great dinner and hear some live music.
I’d rock my 3x Silver Queen with my dark denim trouser styled bermuda shorts and my high heeled cork wedge sandals. Throw on some clunky silver bangle bracelets and my silver big hoop earrings, and I think that’s all the accessories I’d need. I’d wear my hair in full spiral curls, just big, funky, messy curls. I think the look would be cute, comfortable and fun, just what the hubby and I need for some good time alone without the toddler!

I would wear this top w/ these dark denim jeggings, a pair of silver gladiator sandals, a twist-out frohawk, and my “Coffey” earrings from Peace Images by Camille to my upcoming Corinne Bailey Rae concert. Napptural Bellas Roc! :)) My shirt size is 3X…thanks for the awesome giveaways bella!

I would wear this top with a pair of dark/dressy boot cut jeans, with cute shiny black boots, and complimentary makeup (maybe some silver eye shadow), and big silver hoops. I have a perfect scarf that goes with this that I’d use to wrap up my hair Badu style! I’d wear the outfit on the upcoming date I have scheduled with my hubby! I am a huge chest, so size 3x works for me.

Thanks for this great opportunity! Since it’s warm here, I would wear this top, in a 2x please, with a pencil skirt and some “dangerous” strappy heels. In the cooler months I would wear this under a blazer or over a turtleneck along with some boots to dress up my favorite pair of jeans.

  32. UmmAmirah

    its SPARKLY.
    I’m a 3xl.
I’m muslim so I’d wear it with a black cardigan, grey hijab and black wideleg pants. I’d thrown in some sparkly shoes to go with the sparkles in the top. I’d wear it out with my girls on dinner with the spousal unit.

Hey! Thank you for sharing this top with us. I am a 1X. I see this top as part of a chic monochromatic look. I would wear this top with a charcoal grey fitted skirt (to the knee) with a little bit of a fishtail, since the top is a slightly fitted tunic. For the shoes, a strappy platform sandal in grey. I would wear a larger earring that sits on the ear so it would not interfere with the fabulous embellishments on the neckline of the top. For makeup, I would wear a smokey eye with hints of lavender, silver and grey shadow with black liner, nice full lashes and a nude lip. A sparkly clutch for the handbag. I would go for drinks and dinner with my husband.

I am a size 2x. i love the sparkle of the top and would not want to add too much bling since the top is the focus. i would wear t with a cut pair of dark jeans with a little metalic in the pocket stitch and a pair of gray ballet flats. I would have a small earring a silver stud or small silver hoop..easy on the eye makeup not to metallic and a pink glossy lip color.

This the perfect top to dress up or wear on the weekends! I would rock this top with black leggins and a pair of cute stappy black heels (that just happen to be in my closet) for a night on the town or to an evening concert. The jewelry would be simple as I’d want the beading to be the main attraction!

I would also wear this top on the weekend when running errands. Paired with dark blue jeans (probably the skinny jeans hanging in my closet right now!) and a cute pair of flats or my silve sandals. I’d pack a pair of black wedge sandals and a thick black belt to switch it up for lunch with my girls or a chill lunch date with Mr. Right for Jo that I have yet to meet 😉 Still, I’d keep the jewelry simple. My smile and the beading is all I need to make the outfits sparkle!

To make all these stunning outfits a reality, I’d need a size 2X 😀

1X. Silver is my accent color of choice right now. I’d wear this top with my favorite dark denim straight leg jeans & my silver gladiator flat sandals.

Or with some white denim capris & the same sandals. Or dark denim capris & the same sandals. Depending on where the top falls on me, I might pair it with a skirt & silver heels.
