Jennifer Hudson’s Makeup at the Met Ball – Get The Look!

by afrobella

By now you’ve seen the GORGEOUS pics from the Met Ball — if not, get thee to the Glamazons to drink in all the glitz and glamour!

One of my favorite looks of the night was Jennifer Hudson. She wore an elegant and lovely Vera Wang dress, and of course her makeup was ON POINT.

My dear friend and amazing makeup artist Tia Dantzler did her look and gave me an exclusive breakdown of what they did to achieve it!

Take it away, Tia!

After seeing Jennifer’s stunning Vera Wang dress, I decided to give her a soft exaggerated smokey eye.

I followed by giving her flawless skin, luscious lips and lush lashes.

Here are the products used: started prepping her skin with Kinerase Lotion, I then contoured and highlighted her skin by using Bobbi Brown foundation.

Next, I groomed her brows with Dior BrowStyler in Universal Brown and set her brows with Dior Clear Brow Gel.

I smoked her eyes with Urban Decay’s Perversion Eyeshadow. I then layered two pair of eyelashes — Smoke and Mirrors Beauty Hollywood & Las Vegas lashes — to give her a fluttery look.

Next I used two coats of DiorShow Mascara to really curl, lengthen and separate her lashes.

I wanted to give her soft cheeks so I used MAC’s Peachykeen Blush.

I finished off with a soft peachy color by Big Girl Cosmetics called Diva’s Peach.

I love that Tia kept it Chicago and used Big Girl Cosmetics – they’re based here and they’re on the rise!

Thanks for the Jennifer Hudson makeup exclusive, Tia!! You’re the best ๐Ÿ™‚

This look is fresh, beautiful, youthful, and allows Jennifer’s natural beauty to shine through. I could see bellas rocking this look to prom or to a wedding!

What do you think of Jennifer Hudson’s makeup, bellas?
