Spring is here and the landscape has transformed completely! Chicago has shed it’s winter whites and pale gray skies and now it’s all about bright blue and the crisp color of new leaves and fresh grass as it unfurls from the earth. I LOVE this time of year for the weather, the general ambiance of happiness and rejuvenation, the makeup and the FASHION. Bright colors and happiness are the order of the day!

My amigas at ideeli presented me with something of a Spring fashion challenge – and I chose to accept it. My mission? To find a way to rock these brightly colored and fabulously patterned kicks by Spanish brand Desigual their styles will launch on Ideeli on April 4! How much fun are these?? Also, how much of a fashion challenge?

At first my instinct was to go for a muted color palette and let the shoes be the pop of color. And that’s probably another way I’ll rock em in the future.

My other instinct was to go towards denim – how cute would these be with, let’s say this ADORABLE chambray dress by eloquii that I wish would just get in my closet already?

My favorite wide legged jeans were totally AWOL. So I rocked these bright kicks with skinny jeans and a dose of Rainbow Brite realness.

What am I wearing?

Desigual shoes

– bright pink Puma socks

Eloquii curvy fit jeans

Chinoo Designs top

– Michael Kors coat, bought vintage from ReDress NYC

Adha Zelma earrings

Max & Chloe bracelets

Spitfire sunglasses via Fab.com

Zatchels satchel in metallic purple (I can’t resist!)

– Random scarf I bought in the subway station in Toronto

What do you think of the look, bellas? Springtime chic, or “girl, I guess” – what are your thoughts? How do YOU rock bright footwear?

So cute! Question for you, how do you like the Eloquii jeans? I love the stuff on their site and everything that Gabi Gregg does is amazing...but I always worry about quality control on newish sites. Thanks!

Thanks! I like the color of my Eloquii jeans but I do have slide down issues with them, so I always make sure I rock a long top over just in case! And sometimes I wish they were longer. I also own Eloquii jewelry which I LOVE and I have a yellow Eloquii dress I need to post soon. I <3 Gabi! Thanks for commenting!

Love! Like how you took the palette of the sneaks and used as solids in your garments. Kudos!

I'm not much for wearing color, but I do rock classic red Chuck Taylors with red laces on occasion!

These shoes would also look great with a plain white skirt, or pants/jeans or even a flowing white dress and then just have earrings to match the shoes. You look great though.
