Looking For a Satin Lined Knit Hat? Look No Further Than Shepiji on Etsy!

Funny thing about Spring – you hear that the season’s begun and you go into expectation overdrive. “Soon there’ll be sunshine and flowers and happiness everywhere!” you think. And then you wake up in the morning to snowflakes outside your window and black ice on the sidewalk. Seriously. I almost busted my butt on the way to the coffee shop yesterday. GO AWAY, WINTER!

The only thing I’ll miss about winter, is the fashion. I’ve learned to love rocking layers, boots, fly coats and scarves. The one piece my wardrobe was missing, was the hats. Big natural hair and hats don’t always go together. If it isn’t a fit issue, it’s the legitimate concern that woolen fibers will suck the moisture from your hair, leaving your hair as a matted and dry tumbleweed. Not the biz. I tried alternative ways of rocking a knit cap – see BGLH for helpful suggestions – all the while seeking the ideal knit cap myself. Some people aren’t fans of the satin lined knit beanie. I just think they haven’t found the right one yet. For me, Shepiji makes the right kind of satin lined knit cap. Finally, I found what I’ve been looking for!

Shepiji is the Etsy store of Samantha Shepherd, and besides these dope satin lined beanies in various colors, she also makes cool purses, chunky scarves and boot cuffs. I’ve been rocking my hat and scarf throughout the season and it’s been helping me survive these frigid temperatures. My beanie is Afrobella Approved and I recommend you get yourself a Shepiji hat of your own! Click here to shop Shepiji and enter the coupon code AFROBELLA to get 15% off any items in her store. This code will be valid until 3/30/2014.

Love the cap – reminds me somewhat of the ones we got knitted for you – even in Rasta colours.

Spring can be a bit of a confusing season. I’ve been waiting myself for the warmer whether to come in, but as soon as it starts to get mild and you think you’re out of the woods…you get hit with another bitter day. I could have done with a hat like that last time I walked my dog, it looks so comfy and warm 🙂

Can I simply just say what a relief to discover someone who genuinely knows what they are
talking about online. You actually realize how to bring
an issue to light and make it important. More and more people really need to check this out and understand
this side of your story. I was surprised you aren’t more popular given that
    you surely possess the gift.
