I Love a Sale — My Clearance Section Scores at City Chic

by afrobella

Winter is here and it’s bleak enough as it is. How about some COLOR in our lives?

Every winter I try to find a few key pieces that add extra oomph to my wardrobe, items that allow me to be comfortably warm and yet expressive of my aesthetic. Like this look right here, by City Chic Online!

Here I’m wearing their Whip Stitch Biker Jacket, Charcoal Stitched Skinny Harley jean and the Colored Fun Zip Sweater — which is on sale for less than $30. AND it comes in a gang of other colors — look!

City Chic clothing

I chose it in black and yellow (black and yellow, black and yellow) but I had a hard time choosing between this color combo and the seafoam (it’s the Pisces in me)!

Lately I’ve been loving yellow, it’s so vibrant and bold, yet versatile. The color of the third chakra. A color of hope. We need more of that these days, right? Wearing a pop of color like this helps me feel it, just a little.

I have no idea who painted this mural, but I love it. It’s right near where the Maxwell Street Market takes place. If you know anything about this incredible art, please let me know so I can add the info!

I like that these jeans have edge and detail without any rips or tears. Not that I’m rip or tear averse, but it’s WINTER. I need full coverage in all of my garments in this season above all others!

I love the fit and coverage. This is the kind of outfit I can wear in spring, autumn or winter (just add or subtract layers)!

All pics by my husband Steve Yursik — stay tuned for more of my City Chic Online looks! And click here to shop their sale section yourself. They’re always having deep discounts and even deeper sales on their site – and now there’s an outlet section where everything’s less than $40!

Thanks to City Chic  for the opportunity.

I’m trying to do more OOTD posts to inspire myself (and hopefully others) to push ourselves out of our comfort zone. Let me know if you like it!
