In These Jeans – Democracy Jeans Are Comfortable and Chic!

Since high school I’ve been what my mom calls a “jeans baby.” I stay in denim. As a plus size woman for my entire adult life, I’ve got some deep seated emotions about jeans for curves. I have tried on SO many pairs of jeans in my life. Too stiff, too long, too short, too low in the back, too tight in the front – I have tried them all. But through all the clutter, I’ve found a brand that truly works for me and gives me the fit I’ve been looking for — California-based denim brand, Democracy Jeans! I’ve been rocking this brand for years, and now I’m proud to partner with them to share what I love about their clothes!

So, here’s what I love — their jeans are comfortable, stylish, on trend but timeless. I think I bought my first pair of Democracy jeans in 2013, and I’ve been a repeat customer ever since. Quite simply, I love the fit.

It turns out, quite a bit of proprietary technology went into creating their fit. These jeans have a no-gap waistband, jeans are fitted with a no gap elastic through the waist, keeping the denim in place no matter what you’re doing. I could climb a ladder, these won’t gap. And the waistband doesn’t feel stiff or uncomfortable. For me, these jeans are as comfortable as some of my yoga pants. And they last through all the activity I’ve been putting them through – these are friction tested for sure!

They’re called “Ab”solution jeans for a reason – they’re intended to maximize your assets using this sculpting stretch fabric. The front of the jeans has this “power mesh panel” that basically flattens and smooths out your tummy area without compressing you uncomfortably. I have a tummy, trust me. It just doesn’t really show in these jeans. They’re ultra-stretch, so they expand and hug my curves comfortably. The pockets are strategically placed at the back to give your assets a boost. I hate a low pocket – these sit right and can hold your phone comfortably. I feel just as confident from the back as the front, which is saying something.

I rocked four different pairs of Democracy jeans around some of Chicago’s most scenic locations. I wanted to show you my style, as I bask in the glory of summer in Chicago. Allow me to introduce these unique jeans, and get into these casual denim looks!

These are the Democracy plus size jeggings in distressed blue. I like the distressed denim trend, and these are JUST distressed enough for me!

On trend, torn, a little tattered—but durable, easy to wear, and so buttery soft! I could wear these every day! And they’re not so super torn that they would be useless in colder weather. I WILL rock a pair of leggings under these, come winter!

Here’s the head to toe of what I’m wearing.

And finally, these are the itty bitty boot cut jeans, such a standard style for me. Boot cut jeans, sneakers and a tee – that’s my day to day all day!
