I admire red nails, but they’re not really me. I’m more of a purple or blue kinda gal. Red and orange are the official colors of Mama Bella, and [art of me still thinks of those shades – particularly red – as belonging to the domain of glamour and womanhood and things that are older than I.

NO MORE! I’m finally ready for RED. And ORANGE. I’m embracing the colors I’ve shunned in the past. So as a continuation of my MAC To The Beach collection review, I went for Scorcher.

In the bottle, Scorcher looks almost like a neon red. On my nails, it’s definitely a bright, hot orangey coral. I like the color a lot, it’s very sexy and very summertime!

The ladies over at Makeup Alley aren’t feeling this particular polish because it isn’t as opaque as it could be…and I agree. I used two coats, but I can still see my nail line. Next time I’ll paint my nails white first when using these super bright summer colors.

What do you think of Scorcher, bellas? Just right for the season, or too hot to handle?

ps: I’m thinking of trying some nail art next week! For inspiration, I’m turning to DoNotRefreeze.com – her nail art looks so easy and so beautiful!

I really like the colour but my experinces with the MAC polishes are not the happiest, so to say. My complaints are the same you mentioned..not opaque enough and sometimes they go on streaky..but the colour is hot....

I'm not one to buy nail polish that costs more than 5 bucks lol. I'm just not one to wear that much polish, so it's a waste of money. That being said scorcher is a beautiful spring/summer color and it looks good on you.

It's never too late to talk nail polishes. Coral is a great color on you Bella and it pops against that blue. I've never bought a MAC polish, but I'm excited to test out Brown Bag. I think it might be a part of the MAC to the beach collection. Have you ever used the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure? Love the colors and the results from that collection!

I love corals and that color is hot. I am not a fan of Mac polishes but I may give that a test run. It's perfect for summer!

If you want to get the true color of most of these shades, i would suggest you put on a coat of WHITE polish first. You will be AMAZED how different and vibrant your color turns out. Neon colors really pop and opaques/deep color become so much richer! Give it a try...you won't be sorry.
