What’s more fun than a girls’ night out? I’m a girly girl to the core when it comes to that stuff! I love getting dolled up and hitting the hotspots with my fave ladies. That’s why I can’t WAIT for Fashion’s Night Out in NYC! (It’s like the ULTIMATE GNO!)

When I’m getting ready for a girls’ night out, the soundtrack is essential. Maybe I’ll go old school, with a little Mary Jane Girls or Vanity, or dip into the gems that I loved in my college days – Total, Nicole Wray, or Tweet. Or Timbaland and Magoo.

Was this not the JAM? Don’t get me STARTED!

There’s something about dancing, maybe having a cocktail, getting your makeup on, then heading out on the town with your besties that always makes for a magical evening.     My girls and I formed a little ‘club’ called the MWC (Married Women’s Club) we meet the first Sunday of every month – take two vacations a year together and host various events at each others homes for just us – including our signature event – the Rupaul Drag Finale Party, where we dress in full drag, watch the finale and strut.

    This past year the song BE WHERE YOU ARE by Trey Songz has been a constant in my GNO soundtrack. Just the simple ritual of getting dressed when you know you’re going to have fun that night can be sexy and this song captures that. Plus the sound of Trey’s voice singing how a woman getting dressed is sexy makes it even more so.
