I’ve participated in many conferences but shockingly enough, this will be my FIRST ever official BlogHer! I’ve been to events around the conference before, both in NYC and in Chicago. But this year for the first time, the biggest and most influential conference for women who blog will be in my city, and I’m part of the action! SO BEYOND EXCITED!
I’m now making my complete schedule of events. Here’s where I’ll be, and what I’ll be up to!
Friday 10:30am – 12:00pm – I’m speaking on the kickoff panel for the first ever BlogHer Style MiniCon! Our topic? The Business of Blogging.
Style bloggers are building rich, full careers, leveraging their online platform, but not relying solely on it. Patrice Yursik from Afrobella, Gabi Gregg from Gabifresh, and Natalia Simmons from Ma Nouvelle Mode are branching out and leveling up their game. Lesley Pinckney moderates this discussion.
On Saturday, I’m all about the fashion show and the afterparty!

The 2nd Annual BlogHer Fashion Show and Style Spotlight After Party, brought to you by Ulta
For those of you who were not at the inaugural fashion show last year, view the video here and get a flavor of what a fashion show can and should be – a celebration of every kind of woman! And this year will be the same, a gathering of women celebrating our unique style…from our Chuck Taylors to our Christian Louboutins.
After the models, drawn from every corner of our community, exit the stage we will all get the chance to strut our stuff, get pampered, and perhaps even buy something we loved on the runway at the Style Spotlight afterparty. Join us, along with guest host and Chicago local, beauty blogger Afrobella, for a not to miss event!
The Fashion Show and its after party will take place at the Chicago Sheraton. Lite fare and beverages will be served, and this is the night for which you’ve been saving those hot dancing shoes!
The BEST part of the fashion show? I get to strut the runway with some AMAZING women, many of whom I’m proud to call my friends! Who’s modeling, besides me? LOOK!
