Brad Goreski is Adorable

by afrobella

…of course, if you watched him on The Rachel Zoe Show, or follow him on Twitter, or read his blog, you already know that! I recently met the handsome and witty fashion expert at my favorite Macy’s in Chicago — that would be the amazing and historic State Street location! Brad was in town to host a special event for Sunglass Hut.

Brad Goreski, Tia Dantzler, and yours truly!

Together with my dear friend, celebrity makeup artist Tia Dantzler, Brad was on hand to help fashionable Chicagoans choose the perfect pair of sunglasses! Click here for the event recap via the official Sunglass Hut blog, and thanks to the gorgeous and delightful Kristy Elena for making this happen for me — she’s SUCH a doll!

Click here to follow her on Twitter! And click here to check out her Top 5 Sunglass picks for Fall. Love them ALL!

I have very specific requirements when it comes to finding sunglasses. I have a full face and big, big hair. Small sunglasses can make me look like the guy from PM Dawn. I’ve got the features and the personality that call exclusively for large, in charge, oversize sunnies. Brad and Tia could tell.

“Glasses are more than just an accessory,” said Brad. “They become an expression of your personality and part of your look.” And he’s totally right. Brad is one of the people who have made glasses cool again. In Chicago I find my sunglasses to be necessary, more than being just an accessory. Super bright sun, harsh winds, and the detritus of city life make my eyes ache if I don’t protect them. And according to Tia, sunnies don’t have to diminish your beautifully made up face, they enhance your glamorous look and are often very necessary (especially if you’re a celebrity!)

Brad and Tia immediately started choosing glasses the fit my face and suited my look. It’s all about the shape of your face, and bringing out your best features (while protecting your peepers). Of the three pairs I tried, the Gucci GG310S looked THE best on me. And unfortunately since I forgot my wallet with that extra $245 just burning a hole in it at home (Ha!) I left those bad boys behind. My lucky, lucky girlfriend Deedee of The Sassy Peach won a pair of stunning aviators that she looks adorable in! All in all it was a super cute and very fun event – Brad is as sweet as pie and I just LOVE Tia! So happy I got to see them 🙂

The fun won’t end in Chicago — Brad and Tia will be making an appearance at the Sunglass Hut in Macy’s Herald Square, on October 15! Details are on the Sunglass Hut Facebook page. If you go, be sure to tell em you read about it on Afrobella!

AND all isn’t lost, Chicago — Tia will be here hosting her very first beauty event on November 6!! Click here to get tickets for The Beauty Elixir — the gift bags will be dope and the presentations will be enlightening. I’m so proud to be part of this event and I hope to see you there!

Thank you Brad, thank you Tia, thank you Kristy Elena, and thank you Sunglass Hut – you made last Saturday fun!

That quote about PM Dawn slayed me! But I appreciate your honesty, I think we all have those things we know just don’t look right on us so you’re not alone P. I had a blast at the event as well so anyone reading this definitely go to the one in NY if you can make it! Thanks for the shoutout P! 🙂

On Tia website it says her beauty event is for industry professionals – that’s the main reason I did not register.
