Bellas, I’ve missed you!
And I sincerely apologize for missing Mother’s Day. It was my intention to write a fabulous post for all the moms everywhere… but then I started planning a special Mother’s Day surprise of my own. I left last week for a very impromptu, very last-minute trip to Trinidad for Mother’s Day! And we had a wonderful time. I’ll post a LOT more about my trip to Trinidad soon, but for now I just wanted to explain to all Afrobella readers why I’ve been AWOL and will be kind of AWOL for the next couple of days.
This, bellas – is my living room right now.
I’m in the heat of this move. We load up the truck and leave for Chicago this Saturday, and I’ve got SO much to do in the next 3 days. I’m going to do my absolute best to blog whenever I can, but right now my number 1 priority is packing boxes. Which is no fun at all.
Hoping to be back with a new post later today and tomorrow, but I just wanted to explain why things have been slow around here. Wish me luck with the move! I need it!

Oh yay!!! Welcome to the Chi luv! So happy about ur trip home, alwys wonderful to get 2 ur heart every once in a while. You get your pack on hopefully everything is smooth for you and Steve (is that correct, im quite forgetful lol!) looking forward to meeting you here. Safe travels!

Good luck! Just made a major move myself and nothing takes more work, planning, physical and mental energy than moving. But you’ll be soooo happy once it’s done and you’re in your new surroundings!

oh, i wish you so much power and luck. we (hubby and me) moved from cologne to berlin last year november and i can really feel you. do you have a good hand cream? and a relaxing shower or even better bath? a friend gave me those little gifts when we move and it was a godsend on the first night in the new home…
