After the sadness of yesterday’s news, I needed a little church to soothe my soul. I hope y’all don’t mind. No disrespect intended to the church I grew up attending — All Saints around the Savannah in Trinidad — but if our hymns went a little more like this, I would have been really anxious to be there every Sunday.
Nobody can lay it down quite like The Clark Sisters. The gospel quartet truly have voices from heaven. I just love how they layer their harmonies.
Now THAT is vocal power. Gospel music touches this little heathen in a special, spiritual place within.
Once again, RIP Bernie Mac. Hope this music makes your Sunday a little sweeter, bellas and fellas.
