I’ve been teasing folks about having a big announcement, and finally I can share the big news!
Bellas, fellas – on Thursday I’m beginning an exciting new chapter. Afrobella Radio!!
Afrobella Radio will be the weekly on-demand airwaves embodiment of all things Afrobella – natural women, engaging and enlightening discussion, and insight about hair, beauty, culture and the things that make our lives fuller and more meaningful.
I’m kicking it off THIS THURSDAY AT 11 AM EST, 10 AM CT with two amazing guests who have inspired me more than they may realize.
My first guest will be Aliya S. King ! I have been reading her byline for years in magazines including Vibe, Vibe Vixen, Giant, Uptown, Essence…the list goes on. Aliya was one of the people who inspired me to pursue a different kind of writing – fun, edgy pop culture print journalism. She’s coming out with a new book – Platinum: A Novel
So I can’t wait to hear ALL about it from the author herself!
My second guest is the amazing Angela Nissel. Her book, The Broke Diaries: The Completely True and Hilarious Misadventures of a Good Girl Gone Broke
We’re going to talk about writing, living your dream, expressing yourself, having fabulous natural hair…all kindsa stuff.

Wow, congrats Bella! I am super excited about the radio broadcast this Thursday, especially Angela Nissel! After FINALLY getting to read it just recently (after constant recs), I really enjoyed it and am fully in love with Angela and her writing! She’s too funny to be true! Looking forward to listening to her insights.
