The Lip Balm I’d Put In Your Holiday Stocking

by afrobella

I love a good lip balm. Maybe too much — at any point, my purse is overflowing with far too many tubes and tubs. Right now several of the clear lip treatments in my regular rotation are by the same brand, and I realize that I’m addicted, in love, a little obsessed. If I had to put a lip balm in your holiday stocking, it would be by EOS. Let me be specific cause they’ve got so many options!

EOS stands for Evolution of Smooth and the brand began with shaving creams and lotions. Now they’ve evolved in a few ways. EOS still makes delightfully scented shaving creams and they’ve stepped up the game on their incredible lotions (more on those soon). In recent years the brand has gone all in on the lip product section and I’m a big fan. EOS lip care products are supremely moisturizing and super affordable, plus they come in a delightful range of flavors, textures, and varieties. They’ve got stick balms, cute little round balms, salves in little pots, and my absolute faves, the lip treatments that come in a tube. In my opinion and experience, the super balms are the bomb, for real.

If I had to put one small surprise in your stocking this Christmas, it would probably be one of those EOS Super Balm lip treatments. They come in a cute little tube, and they’re made with cocoa, shea, and avocado butters, all intended to deeply condition and protect your lips. I’m obsessed. The application is so smooth.  They come in so many varieties! I use them any time of day, and I slather on more at night.

Right now I’ve got a tube of the Intensive Dry Lip Repair on my bedside table, and I love it. Made with sustainable shea butter and strawberry extract, it lasts longer than most balms I’ve tried. I keep the coconut milk and honey apple duo in my purse. I just got a pack of the Super Balm Minis- Crème de la Crème – they come in Birthday Cake, Salted Caramel, and Vanilla Confetti. Reminds me of the lip balms I used to love as a teenager, except better quality.

As many as I have, I want more – the flavors are delicious and the balms are long lasting – perfect for chapped lips in Chicago winter. I’m keeping an eye out for the Sweet Holiday Magic trio, which includes Vanilla Cake Batter, Speculoos Cookie Butter, and Iced Gingerbread. And the Candy Cane Swirl duo includes a minty fresh scrub as well as my beloved super balm – a must for the season when my lips get so dry and chapped between the wind and cold outdoors and dry air indoors.

If you’re looking for quick, cute holiday stocking stuffer ideas, that’s my recommendation! Happy holidays to you!
