Mally Roncal Makeup Giveaway!

by afrobella

mally

How cute is Mally Roncal? Seriously — she’s the living embodiment of adorable. Always impeccably turned out, always smiling, always encouraging regular women like you and me to believe in our own beauty. I think she’s the bees knees.

The celebrity makeup artist earned her stripes by beating the faces of Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Mariah, Mary J. Blige, and Iman. Now her Mally Beauty brand makes big bucks on QVC, because she brings her expert aesthetic and enthusiasm for everyday beauty to life with her products.

Recently she debuted her fragrance, Mally. If you’re looking for a unique, upbeat, fresh, youthful and sexy scent — you need to get a whiff of this. Citrusy, and scented with the Phillipines’ national flower the Sampaguita — Mally is delicious on your pulse points. I had a chance to review the scent and ask Mally some questions about it, via e mail.

products_fragrance_default_536x303_hero

I had to learn more about this flower that Mally used — Sampaguita, a tropical jasmine flower. The essence of the flower speaks directly to Mally’s culture and the concept of her whole cosmetics line. Mally passionately believes that beauty is an all-encompassing entity. “Beauty isn’t just about color cosmetics and covering up a blemish,” she says adding, “I wanted to create a scent that embodies who I am…something fresh and feminine that makes you feel joyful and invigorated.” A proud supporter of the Filipino community, Mally’s signature fragrance pays homage to her heritage using notes from the Sampaguita flower. The name translates in English to “I promise you,” and represents a symbol of fidelity, devotion, purity, strength and dedication.

Blooming throughout the year, the Samapaguita produces tiny white, dainty, star-shaped flowers that bloom at night and wilt in less than a day. It’s precious, yet fleeting. “Since I was young, I was taught to appreciate life in the same way. This fragrance reminds me of the philosophy, ‘Live every day as though it’s your last.'”

Mally’s fragrance is for a particular kind of woman. “A true girly girl, who wants to feel invigorated, optimistic, joyful and strong,” says Mally.

Although Mally has worked with the uber famous, she creates beauty products for the American everywoman. And she notes similarities, when it comes to the beauty needs of celebrities versus everyday women.

“No matter how famous women are, we all have the same needs and desires- to look and feel as gorgeous as possible. That’s why I developed bullet proof, high performance make up. When we put our make up on, we want it to stay through the many thing we do in our busy lives. High performance is what I aim for every product!”

I had to know — what’s the one product from Mally Beauty that every woman deserves to have? “Cancellation Concealer because the base of every stunning look is great skin,” she responded.

One essential that I’ve grown to love is Mally’s Eye Performance 3-Piece Bestseller Collection. It’s such an effortlessly beautiful everyday eye kit. The Evercolor Shadow Stick in taupe is super blendable and actually makes a great base for more courageous shades, if you want more eye drama. For me, it’s so perfect for every day glam. For example — by the time you read this, I’m going to be out doing my holiday shopping. And guess what I’ll be wearing on my eyes! The volumizing mascara gives great definition and lasts for hours. And the evercolor starlight waterproof eyeliner is my favorite go-to black liner of the moment. It doesn’t run. It doesn’t smudge. It gives a great, smooth line, and it lasts all day!

The good people of QVC and Mally Beauty are providing me with THREE Mally Beauty Eye Performance kits to give away! All you gotta do is comment below and tell me — what’s your everyday eye makeup look?

I’ll leave this open for the weekend, and close comments next Wednesday. And a winner will be announced before Christmas!

Eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss sometimes shadow in place of liner when I want some more color.

  2. Nina

I apply a champagne colored eyeshadow all over my lid and a soft midtone matte brown on my crease. I finish with black gel liner and tons of mascara!

My everyday makeup look includes curled lashes, highlight applied to my brow bone and inner corners of my eyes. A nice dose of mascara, lately I’ve been playing with blue which is stunning when the light hits it, but you can’t go wrong with Black either.
Depending on how much time I have, I’ll apply various shades of brown and gold for pop and perhaps a little bit of brown liner. Most days, It’s just highlight and mascara, out the door.

My everyday makeup routine is fill in my brows and apply mascara. If I have time I’ll apply shadow and/or liner but I usually don’t have time so that is normally just on weekends.

My everyday makeup begins with liquid foundation mixed with a light moisturizer. This gives me a very natural look. Next a blush with brown, pink and a bit of gold….looks fab. Followed by a medium brown/gold eyeshadow, black-brown eyeliner and mascara. Next are lips of my choice – I am really feeling a natural matte look at he momment!

Afrobella, I read this and was in awe. Partially because I must admit, that I don’t wear eye makeup most days. If you count the horrible bags that grad. school has caused under my eyes, then I wear dark-brown constantly. I wouldn’t know where to begin! When I dress-up, I usually use a dark brown or black eyeliner and a pink lipgloss, that’s it. This is a whole new world for me! I’d love to emulate Mally’s natural look. She is absolutely gorgeous.

Timely post (for me!). I’ve been looking for some new fragrances, I’ll be sure to check Mally’s out.

My everyday make up is a shea-butter based cream around my (not gonna turn into) crows feet, then stick under-eye concealer applied with my finger, powder to set, then a nice clean line of black milani easy liner on the top lid, cream colored eyeliner in the waterline if I look tired. Done.

Everyday eye look for me would be a light neutral color shadow with brown or pink on lids, a touch of mascara and I’m good to go.

My everyday eyemakeup look is made up of light eyeshadow preferably a metallic brown, eyeliner and mascara. I’m a student and so spend most of my days in classes as such I find that it brings out my eyes just enough to be attractive without being attention grabbing.

Everyday is a new day, so my eyes are never the same! The first thing I need to have awesome eyes is well maintained brows. I keep my brows neat and groomed by getting them threaded instead of waxing, shaving or plucking. I use loose mineral eye makeup. Some days I go neutral, some days I wear eye-popping shades that just make me smile just thinking about them. I line my eyes with a brown black pencil or jet black liquid eyeliner depending on my mood and then finish it off with a little mascara to tame those lashes. I love my crazy big hair and I’ve got to make sure my eyes hold their own! I do need a little help with darkness under the eyes!!!!

My everyday eye makeup look is plain and simple. I just curl my lashes and wear black mascara. I’m going to be 30 soon, and I want to start stepping my makeup game up.

My everyday look includes foundation, liner, mascara (never leave home without at least some mascara), gloss and go. But my Sunday go meetin look includes a little shadow 🙂

Oh boy. Well, when I manage to get up early enough to put my makeup on, my everyday look is concealor, neutral shadow, a little bit of liner, mascara, and blush. Only break out the foundation for a special occasion!

My everyday eye look is no makeup! (That’s why I figured I should enter this contest so I can start practicing — haha.)

My makeup routine is to begin with a clean face. I wash with an Oil of Olay cleanser or a Shea Butter face cleanser. Pat dry. I then apply to my face, Oil of Olay Moisturizer with an SPF in it. Following this, I line my eyes with a Black eyeliner and my lips with a delicious gloss… this starts a wonderful day!!!!
    🙂

I would LOVE to win this…I definitely need to spruce up my eye game. My skin is so sensitive so I have to keep my daily makeup simple. But for my eyes, I line with black eyeliner and apply Mary Kay icicle eye shadow combo (warm, soft, natural looking brown color).

I’m in grad school so I’m currently too broke for anything more than eyeliner. I always envy people who can pull off great eye makeup. Will need to step up my game once I get a “real” job 🙂

Ooooh!! I LOVE LOVE Mally Roncal!
My everyday makeup consists of blending at least two shades of eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and finish it up with lipstick or lipglass.
    Thanks for the giveaways Bella!

My favorite eye look at the moment includes the two eyeshadows in the Barbie Loves Stila 1980 Foxy Doll Palette. I sweep the lightest shade all over my lids and the brown shade in the crease. Styli-Style 24 hour power eyeliner on the upper waterline and lashline, a coat of Revlon Lash Fantasy Total Definition, done!

  27. Danielle

I’d love her signature perfume, Mally.

  28. Alaina

Everyday eye makeup for me is simple makeup. Simple makeup doesn’t mean no makeup or boring makeup. I like to line the upper lashes with a kohl eyeliner. I rub a bit of eyeshadow in a neutral color on my lids, then finish with a swipe of Maybelline GreatLash.

  29. Clara

    at

Mally’s fragrance sounds delicious. I look forward to trying it.

As to my everyday eye makeup, there was a time when I wore only mascara. Now that I understand the value of stronger brows in highlighting the top part of my face, I color my brows lightly. I add a soft color on my lids, and aodr black eyeliner, and I’m good to go.

If I know I’ll be going out after work, I may add a deeper color in the crease of my eye and a light coating of mascara.

  30. Carmesha

My everyday look is pretty natural, nude or bronze/gold shadow, with brown eyeliner. Sometimes I use a little concealer when I have a few blemishes.

It depends on my day honestly. I either go for no eye makeup or black liquid eyeliner and a volumizing mascara

  34. Joy

My everyday eye regime is very basic. Waking up early and going to school on time – I need to have a very quick routine! I just use an eyebrow gel to keep my eyebrow hairs in place and some eyeliner on the lower rims. Then I leave and hope I get to school on time!

  35. Kim

I work in corporate america so my every day look is neutral. Little eye liner, little mascara and I’m out the door.

Right now I’m doing a completely inappropriate for day smokey eye…dark brown, dark plum, or dark smokey green with black or bronze liner, highlighter under brow (Avon Super Mark-it) and black mascara. I wear glaases so it doesn’t look too crazy…I hope 🙂

  38. Sabrina

    at

Liner and mascara is usually it, if anything at all. I’m watchin yt videos to learn five minute makeup looks, so I’ll have many new looks to try out!

  39. Nishá

My everyday eye makeup look is simple. I wear either black or dark brown eyeliner on my waterlines and I do about three coats of black mascara on my top and bottom lashes. Simple but cute 🙂

  40. Mrs. McC

My everyday eye makeup look consists of muted eye shadow in brown, beige, gold tones. Black eyeliner on the top, grey on the bottom, and a couple of coats of black lengthening mascara. End result: bold yet subtle eyes.

My everyday look: lipgloss, eyeliner, and mascara

  42. Shuggie

    at

For my everyday eyemakeup look, it’s essential for me (at the least) to fill in brows to look more polished and mascara to have fuller appearing lashes and eyeliner (sometimes black and sometimes brown for more a more subtle effect).

  43. Ann A

    at

I would love to try something new, as my routine is au naturale. I do wear glosses and lipstick. Thanks !!

  44. Kat

    at

My everyday look is black eyeliner on the upper lid and black mascara…only because I don’t give my makeup routine enough time most mornings…

When I do give it time, I use MAC paint on the lid, with a little shadow to contour, and liner and mascara.

I found that the best thing I can do for my everyday look is to keep my thick eyebrows well manicured (threading is the best!!!).

  45. JenG

I am a plain Jane! I haven’t tried to put on mascara, since I poked myself in the eye with the brush. I am willing to try again!

My everyday eye look is simple and natural. I use some shade of peach, brown or gold, with black liquid liner on top and pencil on bottom. And I’ve just started curling my lashes then applying black mascara. Voila!! =)

  48. krstnavnn

My everyday eye look is simple. I always use black eye liner and mascara to make my eyes more intense. On some occassions I may apply a light shade of eye shadow to complement my outfit.

  49. JustThankful

    at

I always, always fill in my brows. I wear a neutral camel shade all over my lid with a bone shade to highlight my brow bone. I line very tightly on upper lid only and layer on the mascara. If I have time (and my kids are not knocking at the bathroom door!), I define my crease with a darker shade and curl my lashes.

  50. Ericka

My everyday look is a little mascara, some neutral eyeshadow,a little eyeliner and filling in my sparse eyebrows. I’m kinda plain with my eyes. 🙁 But in the new year, I wanna kick it up a notch! Smoky eyes, color, all that! 🙂

  51. dgh

On the daily, aside from donning lash-enhancing mascara, I make sure to wear a twinkle in my left eye and a sparkle in the right.

  52. 'Funlayo

    I love dgh’s answer 🙂

Lately I’ve been wearing Nutrogena healthy volume mascara and a dab of liquid bronzer on my lids for a little shimmer.

Add some gloss (I love Carol’s Daughter Candy Paint) and I’m good to go!

  53. Rondah

During the day I wear earthtone eyeshadows with a bit of brown eyeline and mascara

I wear glasses everyday and work in an office, so I try to do something funky but professional. I love eyemakeup because you can get away with color! I always use an eyeshadow base (primer or lip balm), mascara (usually 2, I like to mix/match the effects), and always eyeshadow. If I have the time I do some liner (just got my stila smudge pots and they ROCK) and blend colors, but if not, just a quick swipe of a color blended upward. Makes you looked dressed up even if you aren’t!

  55. vonnie

    at

usually 3 eye colors, a light for the corners to pop, and then two on the lids for fun color 🙂 then mascara and maybe winged out liner or just on the bottom rim. I love playing with makeup, so much fun!

  56. solielchocolat

    at

For my everyday look, I usually do a nude eye shadow around my lids, black liner and a couple coats of mascara. For a bit more fun, I like to line over the black liner with a purple or golden sparkly liner…

  57. rainy

My everyday eye make up look starts with a good cleaning and merlot skin creme i put a little powder all over…then i line the under lids with liquid liner, i sweep a little glimmery powder in the corner and brush it over the whole lids..i always add a little green powder just on the corner for pazzas-pop…then add my el cheapo masacra from the beauty supply..i have great lashes so i want them long and black cleoparta style!

Neutral eye shadows, liner, mascara for eyes, a light blush, concealer, foundation and finishing powder for face. Lipstick doesn’t stay long on my lips, so it’s not easy

  68. Stephanie**

Hey Afrobella.I start my eye look with a tinted moisturizer over my lids and face. Next I apply eyeliner to my lash and water lines. I like to experiment outside of the normal shade of black. So far my favorite has been blackened sapphire liner. Then I apply a little masacara for volume and I’m gone.

  69. Stephanie

My everyday eye look includes, concealer under the eye for dark circles, mac primer on lids, a light cream color on the lids with a smokey brown in the crease extended just above and some black on he outcorners to give it the extra pop added with some eyeliner and mascara and a little brow grooming and bam im ready to go! 🙂

My everyday eye look is nude or smoky shadow and sometimes I fill in my brows with a pencil or powder and that’s it.

  72. winnie

    at

Thanks Patrice for introducing us yet again to another great beauty find! My profession is a bit conservative so for work/day, I usually keep it simple. I apply a very soft shimmery powder and then apply a soft black line on the upper eye-lid only. I finish off with a coat of eyelash primer and my favorite volumizing mascara. For evening, I go for the drama. I love to play with bold colors and my new favorite trick is to apply a bit of shimmer to the inner corner of my eye for an amazing pop! If I really want high definition, I’ll apply a few extra lashes as well.

  73. Xuxa S.

My everyday makeup look consists of primer on eyelids and face, concealer under eyes & on blemishes, mineral foundation, blush, beige and brown shades of shadow, eyeliner, mascara, and a peachy pink gloss!

  75. legalicious07

A little mascara and a little plum shadow.

  76. Nicole

    at

My everyday eye makeup look is a neutral eye with alot of browns & golds with a slight cat eye. I like to use cream eyeliner first then go over it with liquid eyeliner. It helps keeps the creme eyeliner from smudging. I love to do smokey eyes with neutrals so that’s definitely an everyday makeup look for me. 🙂

    Thanks for the chance!

  77. Juanita

I don’t typically wear eyemakeup; I have long lashes and with mascara on, they brush the inside of my glasses. Wash and a 15 spf ultra facial moisturizer from Kiehls. When I head out for evening I’ll go for the gusto.

Thanks for the chance to enter.

MY EYES ARE BIG AND REALLY DEFINED, SO I DONT WEAR MUCH EYE MAKEUP, BUT I LOVE TO DEFINE MY EYEBROWS AND NUDE OUT MY EYES WITH FOUNDATION. AND BLACK EYESHADOW TENDS TO LOOK BETTER ON THE INNER CORNER OF MY LIDS THEN THEN THE OUTER CORNER; IT MAKES MY EYES LOOK DREAMY 🙂

I keep makeup very very basic. These products will give me basic with a nice little punch!

  80. Kimberly Keyosha

My everyday eye look is nice and clean. I use a lil’ concealer underneath my eyes to hide the dark circles, and I’m good to go. If I want a lil’ something extra, I use a lil’ mascara on my eyelashes.

  81. BK

    at

I keep it simple.. concealer if I have dark circles or it looks like I didn’t get any sleep but my every day eye is just mascara and maybe a little shadow if I’m feeling extra 🙂

  82. Shanessa

    at

My everyday eye starts with a perfectly groomed brow. I use a powder, (more natural IMO) one shade lighter and blend out with a brush. Then concealer to clean it up and highlight. I swipe a neutral shade all over the lid. On top of that I use a gel black eyeliner and couple coats of mascara and I am out the door!

  83. Lisa

    I just use mascara. Thanks!

  84. Jonelle

My eye makeup changes from day to day, but my everyday eye always starts with eyebrow pencil to fill in my light brows, black or brown eyeliner and mascara is always a must.

  85. Tani Joy

My everyday look is NO foundation, a minimal amount of mascara just to add extention, brown lipliner blended with a nude gloss, and a medium brown eyeshadow with gold at the crease. I try not to wear a full face during the day, I save the dramatics for night time.

  86. Edi

My everyday eye make-up routine is pretty simple…

I have eyelash extensions, so I don’t apply mascara. I put a swipe of stick foundation under my eyes to even out my dark circles, fill in my eyebrows with a dark brown eyeshadow powder, and apply black, brown, purple, or teal eyeliner.

  88. Tanya

I have a pretty easy everyday routine. I just apply mascara

Almay eye color for brown eyes, lavendar eyeliner, light brown on lid, dark brown in the crease and a whisp of lavendar in each corner makes my brown eyes sparkle! Loads of mascara.. my lashes have grown from using my glacoma eyedrops.. talk about a silverlining And Mally’s voice is as cute as she is!

  92. Ryana

I use muted toned eyeshadows during the day with a bit of eyeliner and mascara. I like to keep my everyday look toned down

I use covergirl pressed powder; with a purple eyeshadow; and eyeliner and black mascara. I don’t use mush eyeshadow because I wear purple glasses but that is my look.

  94. Phyrra

    at

I don’t do the same look every day. I always use Too Faced Shadow Insurance as a base, I tend to vary what colors I wear, but opt for bright colors in the crease. Most of the time I wear a gel eyeliner on the upper lash line and Urban Decay liners on my lower lash line. I use Aromaleigh Lash Primer and Benefit’s BadGal Lash mascara. Most of the time I try to never do the same look twice because I’m constantly doing new looks for my blog. I really enjoy wearing makeup and it makes me happy 🙂
