The store aisles are bedecked in pastel shades and overflowing with chocolate bunnies, Peeps, and egg shaped candy. Tomorrow is Easter Sunday! If you haven’t yet had a chance to score some Easter goodies for yourself and your loved ones, you don’t need to get them the usual Cadbury cream egg. Step up your Easter game with some of my suggestions!
First stop – LUSH. The environmentally conscious beauty brand is ALL over this Easter thang! LUSH will be having a national Easter Event at every shop nationwide all-day today (April 3rd). If you spend $40, you receive an Easter product FREE! I recommend you treat yourself to a bath bomb or bubble bar. The Vanilla Fountain bath bomb is decadently delicious, and the Golden Slumbers bath bomb is the perfect way to end a stressful day.
Second stop – your neighborhood bakery! Of course, some bakeries are better than others. Which is why I’ve got some recommendations for ya! The photo you see here is from Crumbs Bake Shop in New York and Los Angeles, and it is the BOMB DOT COM, y’all. For real. Decadently moist cake topped with outrageously awesome frosting and toppings, in flavor combos to die for. I’ll take a Vanilla Easter Sprinkle to go, thanks!
Georgetown Cupcake in DC and Maryland has special “easter Dozens” for sale, bedecked with eggs and bunnies. And here in Chicago, Molly’s Cupcakes have stolen my heart. I’d like to testify about the moist deliciousness of the red velvet cupcakes. They may just have been the star of the show at the Rock the Red fashion fundraiser!
If you’re looking for treats that won’t add inches to your waistline, make a beeline for the nailpolish aisle of your local drugstore. The EOS lipbalm spheres are adorable, egg shapes, and superb at giving your chapped lips the love they need. And they’re less than $4 at Walgreens!
I think the new Milani holographic polishes would look just PERFECT in a beauty themed Easter basket. Watch this space for a more detailed Monday Manicure post to come, but check out my girl Brittany’s review on Clumps of Mascara. Hi Res has stolen my heart!
What are you doing for Easter? Whatever it is, I hope it’s a beautiful celebration filled with love and meaning. Happy Easter, bellas and fellas!
