This may be one of the most difficult contests I’ve had, when it comes down to choosing a winner!
I asked you why you deserved a spa day, and the answers just made my heart melt. So many of us are overwhelmed, stressed out, had it up to here. I heard from many of you who are currently unemployed and dealing with the emotions and issues that go with that. Some of you wanted to share the spa experience with your moms, who deserve the luxury more than you believed you did. And in the midst of all that…I could only choose one winner. Not an enviable task.
For my first YouTube giveaway, I chose a winner and subscriber to my YouTube channel. Her name is LuvForMyKids. And her answer?
“I’m so glad you did this video, I needed to hear this today.? They say everything happens for a reason and I know this was just for me. I feel I deserve a spa day because all I do is for my children and grandson while dealing with an illness since 2004. I rarely take time for me and I need this so bad. Every now and then a giveaway becomes more than just about products. This was one of those times. And even if you didn’t win and you’re bummed – please know that YOU deserve a day to celebrate yourself, YOU deserve to enjoy a day of beauty to give you respite from life’s day to day struggles. That may mean getting someone to watch the kids while you lock yourself in the bathroom, listen to Jill Scott and mix up a brown sugar, olive oil and oatmeal body scrub at home. Or it may mean finding a sweet Groupon deal for a spa in your neighborhood and spending your monthly Starbucks money on that instead. Just please know you deserve at least a day of decadence and self indulgence every now and then. I’m gonna do my best to keep offering contests of this caliber.
