I hope you’ll forgive me for posting my Monday Manicure on Tuesday morning.

Last night I had TOO much fun, and that’s where the manicure madness began!

My friends at Spa Week came to Chicago to kick off their latest round of fabulous $50 treatments! Celebrate You Chicago was a blogger’s soiree held at the lovely, spacious and luxurious Joseph Michael’s Salon and Spa in the Gold Coast area of downtown Chicago. Despite the posh location, the staff at this salon were as friendly and inviting and lovely as could be!

The second I walked in the door, the first people I met were Michelle – the woman behind all the Spa Week awesomeness, and Ronnie – who might be the man I’ve been looking for here in Chicago. Is he not ADORABLE?

We clicked instantly, and he took my eyebrow situation from kinda-cute to sexytown.

Ronnie on my left, Freddie on my right. An Afrobella sandwich!

LOVE these two, they are adorable and I’m totally going back to Joseph Michael’s just to see them!

The event was utterly lovely in every way – the wine flowed freely, there was sushi, platters covered with sumptuous little desserts…everything a blogger could dream of. And THEN, the beauty treatments!

I started with Ronnie doing my brows. Then while I waited for the chair massage, I had a quick polish change. Joseph Michael’s has a great range of colors to choose from, but only one was calling my name. OPI’s Catch Me In Your Net is SO gorgeous. Like butterfly wings in a bottle.

Click here to get Catch Me In Your Net. It really is THAT color. Everyone was raving over it after! Now I want the rest of the collection! All Lacquered Up did a great review of the Summer Flutter collection, BTW.

After the fab mani, I got a chair massage and OMG my back is aching today – but in a good way! See, from sitting hunched over at a computer all the time, I get very achy shoulders and upper back muscles. Whenever I get a massage, those muscles require deep kneading to get the knots out. I just might have to book my Spa Week $50 treatment back at Joseph Michael’s – Spa Week will take place in Chicago from September 13-19, and the 45 minute Lomi Lomi massage may be in my future!

Thanks to Spa Week for throwing such a fabulous soiree! And that, bellas – was my Monday Manicure experience this week. Tres fab.

What do you think of the nails?

It's a cute shade! It's seasonless, I could wear it all year long.

Lovely colour! Eyebrows look sexy and polished. Sounds as if the night was a relaxing and fun. The price for the September Spa Week is not bad either....what a great way to continue celebrating four years of Afrobella.com!

Love this color. I've been resisting shades of green all summer, but I'll add this one to my collection. So fly.
