12 Days of Giveaways! 2 Necklaces by Peace Images!

by afrobella

2010 has been quite a year. Through the ups and downs, you’ve stuck by me and I am thankful for every one of you! To celebrate 4 years of Afrobella, my site being back up and running, happiness and health – I’m giving you 12 Days of Giveaways!

On the 3rd day of giveaways, Afrobella gave to me…2 necklaces by Peace Images!

If you follow me on Twitter, are a fan of my page on Facebook, or read this here blog…then you’ve definitely heard me rave over the jewelry of Peace Images. What is it about her necklaces and earrings that make me go gaga? It’s her eye, her aesthetic, and the quality of her creations.

Every “peace” of Peace Images jewelry I’ve gotten has been stellar, amazing, and stays in my rotation of must-wear, must-travel-with items. And it never fails – her “peaces” are among my most-often-asked-about-by-strangers items.

So when I knew I was planning a series of giveaways featuring 12 of my FAVORITE things…I had to ask Camille to contribute something. And this is what she came up with!

This is a piece from her upcoming Spring Line due out at the end of January. Camille explains:

“The stone is peridot, all other components are vintage brass.

It’s a lariat. Meant to be wrapped around the neck a time, or 2, then closed by draping the ankh into the circle.”

Gorgeous and unique, just like all of her “peaces.”

TWO lucky Afrobella readers will be the lucky recipients of this unique necklace.

How do you win?

#1 – “Like” Peace Images on Facebook.

#2 – tell me what you’d wear this necklace with!

And because it’s Christmas Eve, I’ll leave these comments open till Monday so you can have time to get your last minute shopping done, make those holiday treats, open your presents, enjoy time with friends and family and THEN comment on your favorite blog!

Merry Christmas! Good luck!

Eek so excited to see some of Camille’s Spring line, I can’t wait to shop it! Since it’s from her spring line I’d wear it with a simple white tank, jeans, and wonderful tan wedges. P.S. I’ve liked her on facebook for a while now.

I’ve joined Peace Images on Facebook 🙂

This necklace would look so elegant with my brown slacks and my basic teal fitted tee – it would make the brass color stand out just enough to be noticeable, but not too much! Finish off the look with my goldenrod loafers. Classic!

  4. Roxy

I would wear this with a huge burgundy robe and some decadent black socks after a much deserved luxurious spa treatment.

The “peaces” seem to represent the earthly calm I would feel at that moment.

After that day, it would be something I never take off, no matter what.

  5. Jeanine

Because this “peace” is so versatile I could wear it many different ways; sophisticated and sleek or comfortable and earthy. First, with all black so it would be the star of my outfit, but I could also wear it with jeans and a classic white tee.

    Happy Holidays everyone!

I too think this would be the perfect, unique everyday peace. Jeans, boots, skirts, tees, and tanks. This would stand out.

  7. Rachel

    at

I would wear this with a plain v neck tee and some jeans with my hair pulled back. I think this necklace is the perfect “center” for an outfit.

  8. Sabrina

    at

I like this necklace and would wear it with a crisp white shirt…I have three items from Camille and she rocks! I’ll continue to buy from her.

  9. Tanisha

I would wear this piece with a Black London sweater, dark blue skinny jeans and black booties. I love this piece especially since the peridot is my birthstone 🙂

  10. Sheree Sanders

I’ve been a fan of Peace Images on FB. Her “peaces” are so fly…I admire them all the time. I have a pretty tight budget right now but I will be supporting this sista one day. To answer the question: Because this is such a stunning “peace” I’d probably try to wear it with everything but if I had to choose an outfit for the current weather it would be my black long sleeved v neck tee, my skinny jeans which I’m about to have to retire because of my growing belly 🙁 , and my black pointy toe flats. This “peace” could dress up even the simplest outfit. 🙂

I am huge fan of Camille’s work. This necklace is too fly to complete with a busy outfit. I will wear it with a beautiful sheath dress, cocktail ring, and a fly pair of heels.

Just followed on twitter & facebook. Beautiful! This looks like a piece you can wear with anything & everything in your closet. I’d wear it w/a white tee & jeans or my favorite black dress w/plunging neckline. Lovely.

  15. Reshae

I would wear this with everything. Seems like it is simple enough to wear everyday, but unique enough to be the centerpiece of a fly outfit.

  16. Allison West

I would wear this piece with any outfit. It’s very versatile. Thanks!

  17. TiffanyF

I’m such a fan of Camille’s jewelry! As with most of her things, I think the best thing to do is to keep your outfit simple. I could see myself wearing it with my navy Tucker Signature top & a pair of wideleg jeans. I’d definitely pull my hair up to keep the necklace as the focal point.

    Great giveaway!

    ( i joined the group )

as far as the outfit goes, just the meaning behind the necklaces makes whatever you put on a dope outfit .

but if i really had to choose, i would wear them with a vintage sweater, dark denim skinny jeans, and a pair of oxfords .

  23. Mocha

It’s tough because I’d want to give it to either of my two sisters who each have an ankh as a tattoo (so do I!) so … I guess we would each share it to wear when we needed the strength of our sisters the most.

  24. Chi

    at

So many outfit options exist with this necklace-it’s beautiful and versatile! I would probably wear it with my black v-neck dress, some boots, and my pinkish-red lipstick

  25. Kate

Peridot is my birthstone, ankh means life. This piece of jewelry is for me!! I would wear it with all my natural fiber outfits as not to leave my carbon footprint on Mother Earth

  35. Tanya Amet

I have been a fan of Peace Images, hence I’ve liked her page already. With this piece I would simply rock it with a frohawk, skinny jeans with a black tank top and of course the sexiest pair of heels I have in my closet! No need to over do it a piece like that! It stands out all on its own! GORGEOUS!!

  36. Carolynn

  37. Danielle P.

    at

This necklace would be the perfect everyday piece!

  38. dee

I’d wear this dress with my monif c White short wrap dress. I’d wrap the dress to create a v neck so that the peridot could pop against the white.

  39. Cecca

    at

I’d wear it with jeans, a white oxford and brown boots. A western-inspired look with a modern black-tastic twist. I can’t help it; it’s impossible for me to see any sort of lariat without immediately channeling Gina Torres’ no-nonsense character Zoe from Firefly, especially one as gorgeous as this.

  40. Nicole Powers

    at

I have done the 1st thing. For the second I would wear this with a pair of classy blue jeans and a v-neck purple and gray Ralph Lauren sweater and my high heel brown boots!!!
