It’s the Afrobella QVC Buzz on the Red Carpet Giveaway!

Last night on QVC, the Buzz on the Red Carpet began with a bang! If you watched from 9 pm to midnight you already know — celebrities galore!

Live from LA, fans and shoppers saw the Kardashian gals, Joan Rivers, Dennis Basso…all KINDS of stars who represent and love what QVC does, all mingling and celebrating the season. The Academy Awards are on Sunday and all the stars are sipping bubbly and going home with ginormous gift bags.

Thanks to yours truly being a Q-Correspondent for QVC, I’m here to spread the joy. One lucky Afrobella reader will win one of the VIP gift bags that are being handed out at the QVC Red Carpet event!!

The gift bag features a limited-edition tote designed by fashion stylist Lori Goldstein filled with fabulous products from QVC – valued at over $750. The tote bag is so new, that I don’t even have images of it yet — if you watched the extravaganza last night, you probably saw it on set.

philosophy

QVC went the extra mile and included three NEW beauty products in the gift bag – so the lucky winner will get items from philosophy, tarte and Ja’Maal Buster.

How do you enter, how do you win?? Easy! There are three easy steps.

Step 1 – click here to “like” Afrobella on Facebook

Step 2 – click here to “like” QVC on Facebook

Step 3 – leave a comment here telling me which actress worked the Oscar red carpet best!!

I’ll leave this contest open until Wednesday morning – by then we’ll have had our fill of Academy Award fashion. Winner will be chosen by the end of next week, and anyone within the continental United States can enter this contest. My apologies, international readers. I’m working on a giveaway for you, too!

  1. I thought Katie McPhee looked awesome in that red dress she wore on the QVC red carpet.

  2. Abhishek Duggal says:

    Tilda Swinton!

  3. Despite the fashion uproar it’s caused, I LOVED Kim Kardashian’s outfit. I thought it was very daring of her to step outside the box, keep the short tight dresses in the closet, and leave something to the imagination instead of serving it up on a platter.

  4. Halle Berry worked that red carpet. She had on a long stunning red flowing dress. It was a little see through but she is very classy and carries herself like a lady should. I loved how her dress flowed. Her hair was cut short and chic. Her smile was beautiful as always

  5. Of course Halle Berry!

  6. Katharine McPhee was giving it to them in the red dress!

  10. Halle “Beautiful” Berry worked the Red Carpet!

  11. Lisa Lynette says:

    Halle Berry flawless as always

  12. Halle Berry looked absolutely amazing – but she’s the popular, obvious choice, so I’m also going to mention Zoe Saldana and Kerry Washington who looked fab …from the necks down. I would still steal those dresses though.

I like both of you on FB!

  13. Willa Harris says:

Halle worked It !!! Such a classy woman.

  14. Halle Berry was on POINT!

  15. Hey I was already your friend on Facebook..and now is QVC’s.
    Halle Berry of course…

  16. Halle Berry…she almost always gets it right!

  17. Robin Roberts Hands Down!! Beautiful dress, Beautiful Smile and a Awesome Role model, she makes being a Survivor Look Damm Good!! Awesome!! :)

  18. Halle’s dress, Gwyneth’s dress, even Robin Robert’s (GMA host)were all lovely and amazing.

I Like Afrobella and QVC on Facebook.

    Thank you.

  19. I would have to say Halle Berry, Robin looked great as well.

  20. Halle Berry without a doubt. Flawlessly beautiful.

  21. Jellybean Johnson says:

Wow, Kim Kardashian looked almost unrecognizable. I thought she looked great. She really proved that she can cover up and still look gorgeous!

  22. Halle gets my top vote this year. She looked absolutely fabulous!

(already a friend on Afrobella, liked QVC)

  23. Sharyn Felton says:

Hands down Halle Berry! I liked Jennifer Hudson’s dress too.

  24. I liked both Afrobella & QVC under: Nicole O.

I absolutely LOVED Mila Kunis! She looked STUNNING in lavender. :D

  25. Halle Berry looked wonderful as usual. But I really thought that Hailee Steinfeld looked very cute and elegant for a girl of her age. And you just have to admire Helen Mirren’s dress and how she well she wears. For all three..they wore the dresses, the dresses didn’t wear them.

  26. Michelle S. says:

I have been a fan of both Afrobella and QVC and have already selected “like” for both pages. Anne Hathaway’s red Valentino Archive was absolutely GORGEOUS and is my first choice hands down. My second runner up is a tie between Jennifer Hudson in the tangerine Versace, and Halle Berry in Marchesa. If there were a category for best dressed teen nominee it would be Hailee Steinfeld also in Marchesa. Others who deserve mentioning include Hilary Swank in Gucci Premiere and Sandra Bullock in Vera Wang.

  27. Jennifer C. says:

I think that Scarlett Johansson’s dress by Dolce & Gabbana won me over. Simplicity was key at the Oscars and Johansson’s dress was subtle yet sexy with her burgundy floral lace cut out

  28. I liked Halle Berry’s dress but my favorite was Jennifer Hudson.

  29. I loved JHud in the bold tangerine, it showed off her curves and the beauty of her chocolate skin. FTW!

  30. Allison West says:

    I liked Sandra Bullock’s gown.

  31. Angie Young says:

Hi Ladies my favorite of the night was model Camila Alves with a Beautiful black gown by Kaufman Franco{I had to look that up}. But I loved it because it was classic and simple. Her hair was simple and earrings were elegant. A black dress…every girl needs one!

  32. I loved JHud’s dress. It was so springy and vibrant. I was thinking dang she looks amazing. I almost didnt recognize here. Seeing her in that dress just reaffirmed my goals for weight lost. I mean she was BEAUTIFUL! I want to look like that. *Hits the gym at lunch*

  33. Charrisespieces says:

I think Scarlett Johansson worked it best, follwed by Mila Kunis. I loved the shades of purple and lilac and the use of lace on both these ladies!

  34. Jennifer Hudson and Oprah Winfrey looked stunning….

  35. TraciLynne says:

I like Halle Berry’s gown. Bright and pretty!

  36. Twana Walters says:

I must say I’m a little torn but I have to go with Gwyneth Paltrow. Her dress was classy and spicy all at the same time!

  37. Like Afrobella and Qvc on FB… For the Oscars. I am obsessed with Halle’s whole look the nude colored dress and the short cut, she makes me want to cut my hair. Just gorge!!

  38. ichoosethesun says:

    Halle Berry and Helen Mirren!

  39. Jennifer Hudson…the dress was FAB !!

  40. I love Sandra Bullock dress..Amy Adams was a close second for me.

  41. I love different, so I loved Jennifer Hudson. I’ve never seen her wear something like that. And the color was just so fun!

And I really liked Zoe Saldana. It was totally off-kilter (in a good way), which seems to be her new red carpet look.

  42. I loved OPRAH’s outfit. SO classis & regal all at the same time.

    S Nicole

  43. I thought Jennifer Hudson looked AWESOME! So much so, I want her dress in Ivory whenever I get married. I looooved her look!

I liked Afrobella and QVC on Facebook (Nancy Smith).

  44. Oh Halle B! You know how you never want to look back and say, “What tha heck was I thinking when I wore that dress?!?” Halle just knows the formula for awe-inspiring classic beauty.

  45. I loved Mila Kunis’ dress! It was so gorgeous and flowy and I loved the pale color. Also, Jennifer Hudson looked stunning as always in her sassy tangerine number! The dresses were definitely drool-worthy this year, as always!

  46. I am a fan of you and QVC. I loved Halle’s look. She looked great as always.

  47. SANDRA Bullock rocked the red carpte!

  48. Mahogany Maverick says:

I really loved Jennifer Hudsons vibrant tangerine dress…she conveyed such an amazing energy. The purple satin shoes were a perfect accent and unexpected pop of color. I respect that she wore her favorite color shoe. It was like a secret vote of confidence. Halle looked timeless and effortlessly beautiful as always.

  49. Hilary Swank served up stunningly-glamourous-movie-star on Oscar night! Halle Berry’s spectacular figure was accented by the fit of her gown. J-Hud wins major points for confidence and elegance, wearing 2 of my favorite colors (orange & purple).

  50. Halle Berry worked this carpet like she always does!

  51. I was loving Halle’s Dress.

  52. Christa J. says:

Halle Berry — all the way

  53. Halle Berry DID THAT. She looked very angelic. I know that nude colors are in for the Spring and she pulled it off greatly.
Oprah’s dress was also perfectly fitting for her.

  54. A. Smith says:

Of course Halle Berry can do no wrong when it comes to a red carpet! But I loved, loved, loved Zoe Saldana at the Vanity Fair Party!!!

  55. Hey Bella! No matter the list, if Halle’s included, I have to go with her every time! She really can do no wrong when it comes to the red carpet – she wears the heck out of a dress!! So poised, so put together, so flawlessly beautiful. She gives most of these young girls a run for their money! :)

  56. (I thought I left a comment yesterday, but don’t see it)
