I had so many things to blog about planned for this week. You should see the ambitious things to do list I wrote for myself on Sunday. I was going to post a celebrity interview and a skincare post and a very involved hair related Ask Afrobella…AND pack for New York Fashion Week, AND get the apartment ready for a visit from my in-laws while I’d be out of town. Right. You can tell what happened. I got way too ahead of myself and now here I am, in New York, and I haven’t written any of the aforementoned blog posts. BOOOOOOO.

When I’m back next week, keep your eyes peeled for all those awesome posts I mentioned. For now, it’s all about fabulous fashion, fierce makeup looks, and more events than I can count — it’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week!

Every day I’ll be backstage at a show getting the hottest makeup and hair tips for you, and every night while I’m here, I’ve got some kind of glamorous dinner or crazy party happening. A few incredible fashion brands gave me amazing outfits to wear (and the sales ladies at another one gave me a killer deal), so you’ll get to see exactly what I’m rockin to all of these festivities.

AND please don’t feel left out — you can watch the livestreams of the shows right here, starting with Nicholas K at 9am EST — and today’s other shows include BCBGMAXAZARIA, Richard Chai and Tadashi Shoji. Click to watch LIVE when they happen.

So what’s happening? Where will I be? If you want to stay up to date on exactly where I am, when I’m there, follow me on Twitter @Afrobella for real time Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week updates and adventures. I’ll also stop by my official Facebook page with longer updates for you all. And of course, blog posts upon my return! WOO HOO! NYC, here I am!!
