Every year, the Black Girls Rock! award show is one of the coolest events on television. The brilliant Beverly Bond created an unstoppable movement, intended to inspire and uplift black women and thanks to BET, the revolution is televised!

Every year, Black Girls Rock! is like a who’s who of cool women of color, all flocking to New York City for an epic evening of live music and inspiring acceptance speeches. Someday, I keep telling myself, I will be in the room when it all goes down. It’s one of my dreams for 2014. For now, whats the next best thing to going? Hosting the official Twitter party during the show!

I took my kids to the all souls parade on Sunday night. Wish I found your blog earlier. I would have loved to be at the twitter party.
